Jaxon

The light through my window looked gentler than usual. As if the world had decided to lower its voice, knowing I hadn’t slept much. Not from work, not even from stress. Not from Elvira either!

What the hell kind of bond hurt the person it was meant to protect?

I closed the drawer that held the velvet box I’d been hiding for three weeks, the enrollment token. It was time, no more waiting. Maybe this surprise could cheer her up, help us both pretend, even if just for a while, that the world wasn’t spinning off its axis.

The makeup training, hell, it wasn’t just about cheering her up anymore. It was about reminding her that she’s still Elvira. The girl who loved color palettes and lip liners and laughed when blush was the wrong shade. The girl I fell in love with, am still falling for, over and over, even when it hurts.

I made the call. The driver pulled around the car.

“Bring it around front,” I muttered. “And tell Valeria we’re coming.”

ElyraWhen my phone buzzed with a message from Mother, I already knew it wasn’t a request, it was a summon.“Come to the house. Now.” That was all it said.No hello, no reason. Just her usual command wrapped in cold words.I should’ve ignored it. I should’ve turned my phone off and disappeared into the city like I used to dream about as a kid.……The marble floors of the estate echoed with every step I took. The high chandeliers overhead sparkled like icicles, untouched and untouchable, just like everything else in this house. This place wasn’t a home, it was more like a shrine to me.I rounded the corner, heading toward Mother’s study, only to halt abruptly when Elijah and Eric stepped into my path. Both of them wore the same expression: superiority carved into every angle of their faces. Elijah leaned against the wall like he owned it, arms crossed, an arrogant tilt to his mouth. Eric, taller and broader, stood squarely in front of me, blocking my path entirely.“Where have you been

Deric I stood in front of the full-length mirror, adjusting my black tie for the third damn time. My fingers fumbled at the knot again like I was some awkward teenager going to prom. My eyes caught my own reflection, taut jaw, furrowed brow, that twitch in my left eye that only ever surfaced when I was either furious or deeply anxious. Today, I wasn’t sure which. Behind me, I saw her in the reflection, Ava. Her arms slid around my waist, her touch easing the tension in my shoulders just enough to breathe. She rested her cheek against my back and looked at me through the mirror, her eyes soft but perceptive. “You’re nervous, baby,” she whispered, voice light but steady. Hell yeah, I was. “Yeah,” I muttered, adjusting the tie once more. “Can’t help it.” She spun me around to face her. Her blue eyes, the kind that always looked like they could cradle you all at once, bore into mine. She had on a pale peach dress that hugged her in all the right ways, her hair twisted up with strand

Jaxon The intel came in just past dawn. I was in the training yard, shirt soaked with sweat, fists wrapped in leather. Talon stood at the edge of the ring, arms folded, his expression unreadable. He didn’t say anything until I threw the final punch, letting the punching bag swing wildly like it had a grudge against me. “My instincts was right,” he said flatly. “Bloodmoon really planted a spy.” I stilled, my chest heaving, my heartbeat louder than his words. “Who?” I asked, unwrapping my hands slowly, like I needed something physical to focus on. “A name.” He hesitated, just enough for it to itch beneath my skin. “I don’t have one yet.” His eyes moved. “I don’t want to jump to conclusions without evidence.” I sighed. At this point, I don’t even want to hear anything about spies and intels, if I can’t find them. It almost looked like imaginary spies that don’t exist, because how come there is never a name? But Talon wasn’t the type to waste my time with guesswork. If he was sa

Elvira I didn’t know how long I’d been sitting in the bath, water long gone cold. My fingers were wrinkled, my skin pale, but I hadn’t moved. I couldn’t. Every time I closed my eyes, I felt his hands again, Jaxon’s, burning and soft all at once. The way he had looked at me, when I screamed. That moment, that kiss, the heat crawling through my veins… until it turned to fire. Painful, soul-ripping fire. The bond flared like it wanted to kill me. My scream still rang in my ears. I curled my knees to my chest and gritted my teeth. What’s happening? Something was wrong with our bond, and it wasn’t just the usual mating confusion. This seems darker. I could still feel his hand trembling as he pulled away from me last night, the haunted look in his eyes as I collapsed against him, crying in confusion and pain. A soft knock startled me. “Elvira?” Brielle’s voice came through the door. “You’ve been in there forever. Are you okay?” “Yeah. Just give me a second,” I croaked. I dried off q

Deric It was my 27th birthday today, and I wasn’t having it. To be honest, I hadn’t felt less celebrating a day that was supposed to be mine in years. The problems pressing down on my chest made it impossible to forget. It wasn’t about the passing of time, hell, I’d had birthdays before, ones filled with love and happiness. Today’s own was different. My father was dying. And there was nothing I could do about it. Not a damn thing. As if that weren’t enough, Eric’s situation had twisted itself into knots in my mind, and now, Ava kept asking me if I was okay, but I wasn’t. I hadn’t been for a long time. The rumble of the car’s engine only seemed to amplify the silence that lingered between us. Ava sat at the passenger sit, her eyes soft and observant, but she knew something was off. I hated how easily she could read me. I hated that I couldn’t just push it all aside and pretend to be fine. “You okay?” she asked, her voice pulling me from my thoughts. Her hand, warm and comforting,

Brielle The marketplace was busy with activity, the air filled with the smell of fresh-baked bread and spiced meats. The vendors called out their wares in that familiar, rhythmic chant, each one trying to outdo the other for attention. I was here to shop, Elvira had sent me to the market to get her ingredients to make a lipgloss yesterday but I couldn’t go because it was late, and some of the vendors must’ve closed. I hadn’t been interested in any of these trinkets or baubles for a long time. I moved through the crowd, my eyes scanning, looking for the vendor. I paused by a stall, running my fingers over some handwoven scarves, pretending to be interested in the vibrant patterns. I’d seen them all a hundred times before, but it gave me an excuse to stay in place, to watch the crowd without drawing attention to myself. And then, I saw him. He was standing just a few paces away, near the fruit stand, his back to me. Elijah…..Tall, lean, the cut on his dark jacket sharp against the m

JaxonI was done playing games.I’d danced around Elvira for too long, holding back when all I wanted was to consume her. Elvira had become the rhythm of my every thought, the ache in my chest, the fire under my skin. And I knew, I knew, she wanted me too.No more waiting. If I couldn’t have the bond, all of it, I didn’t want anything at all.I stormed through the halls, each step charged with purpose, hunger burning in my chest. Her scent still lingered on my clothes from yesterday morning, soft, citrus and vanilla. I hadn’t changed my clothes. I Couldn’t. I needed that scent with me, like an armor.I stopped at her door and inhaled once, grounding myself. But the moment I knocked, all my restraint cracked. The door opened slowly, and then, a smile. It lit up her face like a morning sunrise , softening her sharp features and making my heart stumble in my chest. But then, as quickly as it appeared, she hid it away, her expression tightening.“If you’re here to play with me again, Jaxo

DericHave been hearing rumors about a witch in Clawshade, a remote area in Morrien, there resides an ancient, powerful witch who could heal anything, even the kind of cancer my father had. Stage 3, they’d told me. He was getting weaker with each passing day, and no doctor, no healer, no one in our pack had been able to stop it. There was no cure. But then, Clawshade. They’d said she could do it. They’d said she had a power that bent the laws of nature itself. Healing magic so pure, so potent, it could restore life itself.I couldn’t sit idly by, watching my father slip away. Queen felen was not an option now. So, I made the decision. I’d go to Clawshade. I’d seek out the witch and ask for her help. What was the worst that could happen? I’d heard of her powers, but I wasn’t naive enough to believe everything I’d been told.I took the trip alone, keeping my thoughts to myself. The drive was long, but the journey was mostly uneventful, until I reached Clawshade. The pack was quieter tha
