Davina's POV

It was morning, and I hadn't gotten a wink of sleep. The night was torture because the thought of Lucien and our trip together would not leave my mind. I thought about the ride there and how awkward it would be. I concluded in staying in the front with the driver, as Lucien would likely take the back seat.

Then I thought about where we would stay. They would likely give us a room to share as we came together. They might even mistake us for a couple. But as mates, weren't we a couple?

I wanted to scream at myself for having such insane thoughts.

He didn't even tell me how long we were going to stay.

Being close to Lucien was never a good idea. I could barely control my thoughts.
