#Chapter 47 (Arina) – A New Development

“I don’t really remember a lot of what happened,” Ronnie said as she sipped the tea, I gave her.

We had returned to my home in Sabrebite a few hours ago and I had Ronnie resting on the couch with Erick beside her. Anderson was pacing back and forth like a mad man, anxious that this meant a new revolution was about to break loose.

He wasn’t far off.

With Jonathan in Blackcrest and still no word from him, I feared the same thing.

“I just remember that woman…” she whispered.

Ronnie had told us Elijah slaughtered an elder woman right in front of her using a butcher knife. She couldn’t get the sounds out of her head and every time she closed her eyes, she could see the woman’s face.

“You don’t remember anything Elijah said to you?” I asked, sitting down on the other side of her.

She shook her head, staring down at the cup of tea in her hands.

“No…” she said hoarsely. “Next thing I remembered I was in Dr. Beverly’s office.”

“We are just glad you’re alive,” I told her softly.
