Ana. The man exits the room and his minions approach us, but Jace is quick to push me behind him. "Don't you dare touch her" He harshly whispers, clenching his fists, and before I know it, the men charge forward ready to hit him but my mate instantly shifts. I watch in amazement as he precisely tears them one by one to pieces. They don't stand a chance. "I knew you would cause trouble" The man reappears when his men don't show up. He reeks of wolfsbane and I'm of the gun he is holding. In the blink of an eye, he targets my mate and shoots. No, goddess. Wolfsbane will weaken my mate. Ana. 'Dad, it's a set up' I quickly mind-link my father as the unknown man makes his presence known in the room. The air around us thickens making the place suffocating. Unlike Leo, the man who just entered harbors power, but doesn't compare to my father. Who the hell is he? 'I am coming in sweetheart, no one will touch you. That son of a bitch' he angrily grits out. The figure breaks in a fit of taunting laughter that sends a cold chill down my spine. "Oh, or should I say my stepson? Your mother was once my wife you know. She left me for your dad, but I have been fucking her anyway" He chuckles, and I strain my eyes to catch a glimpse of him in the darkroom. I can't see anything. Ana As soon as my mate leaves, I quickly take a short shower and change because I know my son will come for me next. Settling for a short white dress, I leave my hair down so it can air dry. I wear my white sneakers and before I can leave the room, Liam comes back in running as predicted. "Mummy" He shouts lifting his hands to be carried, and I chuckle picking him up. "Hello, baby" I kiss his cheek and he happily giggles. "Mummy, grandpa said... grandpa said mmh..." He scrunches his face in thought, probably trying to remember what he was told. " Mummy, I am hungry, Grandpa took daddy" he frowns and I peck his cheek. They must have left already. Goddess, make him talk, please. I need to finally meet my mother. Dad also needs to have peace of mind. "They will be back sweetheart, let us make breakfast. Will you help me?" I wonder why Dad doesn't like servants around the house. His paranoia is on top notch. I will convince him to get at least two people he can trust. I hate doing
