Chapter thirty seven
DAX'S POV
Things were just not adding up from the start of all of this.
Shanaya escaping, Nelson knowing about Riggs and just loads of other little things. The only thing that seemed to be right is Benson locked up as he didn't manage to escape with Shanaya.
I'm struggling on who to trust but I need help in figuring out who behind all this.
I don't want to get Aurora involved she has already been through enough. It will have to be between me and my Beta.
I use the mind link to talk to Riggs.
"Riggs can you come to my office please?"
"On my way Alpha."
A couple of minutes later and Riggs walks straight in.
"Thanks for coming quickly."
"No problem boss man, so what's the problem?"
" How did you know there was a problem?" I ask he just gives me a smirk.
"Well since you mated my sister I can guess you have loads of problems."
I have to laugh with him.

I got home after spending all day with Sue and away from Dax, I didn't realise how much I missed him until now. I pick my pace up and go to his office thinking he would be in there but he wasn't, do I make my way to our room but he isn't in there either. I was about to turn and go find him when I notice a dress hung up on the wardrobe door that I had not seen before.I walk to it and there is a note attached. I would love for you to wear this dress and meet me downstairs in the living room. I'm smiling from ear to ear. I look at the dress and it is beautiful. I wasn't sure when I was going to tell Dax what the guy who attacked me said because I knew he was going to flip out and I knew I wasn't going anywhere no matter what that guy said. Dax would want to protect me and I didn't want that to mean that he was going to push me away. DAX'S POVHearing those words come out of Aurora's mouth, I just saw red. Who was this bastard who seriously thought that I would allow her to leave me? Who thought he was good enough to take on the Alpha of this pack and challenge me and my mate and Luna of this pack. Me and Dax got back to the pack house and had our food, we thought we would ring Peter up to make sure that he was ok with us coming to him house again tomorrow. We spent the rest of the night looking at all of his Dad's paper work to see what he had in place for the protection of the pack from the vampires. We added our own thoughts to it and then we planned a meeting for in the morning with all the wolves that took part in helping protect the pack they needed to implement these as soon as possible, we didn't need anything else happening.I was also planning on talking to my Mum tomorrow. She needed to know Peter was dead and she needed to know about the vampires. I have asked Riggs to be there aswell as she will probably try to leave the pack grounds and go find the vampires.
