An Open Invitation To Death's Banquet Hall

"You're marrying Spencer and that's final!" Her father said with a tone of finality while she boiled with molten rage.

"Here's the invitation cards". He shoved them into her hands.

"You may as well start giving them to friends".

That was it! She strode angrily out of the house and slammed the door furiously behind her. She wasn't marrying Spencer and that was final!

She entered her car and drove to the creek. If only she could escape from here. Maybe that was what she was gonna do. She couldn't be a grown up woman and yet her father decide who she could and couldn't marry.

She parked by the roadside, grateful to God the cops weren't pursuing her for driving above the speed limit.

She slammed the door shut and walked towards the creek with the damn invitation cards. She threw them right into the water. She sighed angrily and raised her head to see an apple tree, two trees across the creek.

The apple tree had one blazingly red apple that looked yummy and enticing and she decided to go across the creek to get it. After all, it was a way to ease her nerves.

She walked on the old bridge, across the creek unto the other side. She jumped down and walked towards the tree.

The apple which seemed close from afar off turned out to be high up in the tree and she was desperate to eat it. Thankfully, she could climb a tree.

She started her journey up and the further she climbed, the farther the apple looked. She kept thrusting until she was levelled with the fruit which turned out to be at the top of the tree. She had never been so grateful in her life for wearing trousers.

As she was about eating the apple, she heard some commotion. She jerked her head to the direction of the noise, fast enough to see a man kneeling with some fetish things and a mirror. She hid herself among the leaves.

From the looks of it, he was definitely one of the bad guys.

She gasped and her heart beat accelerated as she saw three wolves running in the direction of the man.

Wolves! There were wolves in the woods! Would they smell her fear? How the hell was she gonna be out of here?

They stopped running and circled the area surrounding the man, who was now smiling satisfactorily. What was going on? Could they be the bad guy's pet?

She stifled a scream when one of the wolves began twitching and slowly but surely, turned into a handsome young man who was accidentally naked.

She must be dreaming. Wolves didn't turn to handsome young men! Naked!

She heard a crack.

"No! No! No! No!" She began murmuring.

The two wolves, naked man and kneeling man snapped their head in her direction.

"Sweet Jesus!"

The branch broke and she fell on her butt with a loud thud. The pain made her realize one thing; she wasn't dreaming.
