Alden entered his chambers, the weight of the Battle still all over him, his body ached with every step he took, but the soreness from the fight was not what even bothered him but the feeling he had been having since the day before, something he just couldn’t explain. He sat forcefully on his bed, using his hands to run through his face, trying to make the feelings go away. What was it? Why does everything seem blurry like he was under the effect of something, he wondered. His mind went back to the war, the chaos, the blood, the growls, the defeat. They were things he had seen countless times in Battles but this time they weighed heavier that was not it, there was something more that he could not understand. He clenched his fist in frustration, growling in anger, he reached out to a cup of water on his table gulping everything forcefully. He slammed his hands on the table, facing his head downwards, his head hurting with frustration. He didn’t have time for what was going on with him, he needed to clear his head fast “Tea!.” He called out sharply, a maid rushed in bowing her head with Alden barely acknowledging her. “ Make me something strong,” he commanded, the maid nodding her head, rushed out While Alden with frustration still clouding his mind went to sit back on his bed. Seconds dragged into minutes, and His impatience grew. It was unlike him for him to be this unsettled. Something was wrong. Finally, the maid returned, carrying a tray with a steamy cup on top“Here is your tea, My Alpha. ”she said, handing the cup over to him. Alden responded with a brief nod without glancing at her. Alden lifted the cup to his lips, hoping the herbal tea would clear what was wrong with him, but the moment the liquid touched his tongue, his instinct was wrong, the taste was off. He held onto the cup firmly, a slow burn began to rise in his stomach slowly building up to his chest, Alden’s chest tightened as he began to wheeze his muscles weakened. He slammed the cup on the table nearby causing the sound to echo through the room. His vision began to blur, but he tried to maintain his focus. He glared at the maid who was standing at the door. “ What… have you done? He asked, his voice low but with a dangerous growl, his eyes were clouded with fury. “ My Alpha, I do..don’t know .” the maid stammered with fear in her eyes. “Guards” Alden called out. Two guards entered the chamber immediately. “ Take her away,” Alden ordered his voice going low as he was already feeling too weak. “ I swear… I don’t. I don’t know what happened. ” the maid stammered while trying to free herself from the grip of the guards. “ To the Dungeon. ” Alden completed, his voice growing weaker as the poison worked through him. The guards dragged the maid away as she continued pleading. Alden’s body felt weak with each passing seconds, the poison or whatever was in the tea had slowly sapped out his Energy, his vision began to blur again and his legs felt numb. “Everyone get out,” he ordered, his voice growing weak but still has authority, the remaining servants around the chamber sensed some kind of danger but were afraid to question him. They all gave him a bow and quickly moved away closing the door behind them. He started wheezing again, the room spinning around him, his mind tried to fight what was going on with him, but his body was unwilling to do so. He growled in frustration, and his body tightened and began to feel sore, he collapsed onto his bed, and his body tried to resist the effect of the poison as if his Wolf wanted to fight, but it was no use because the effect of the poison pulled with greater force into a deep sleep. Adria slipped into the chamber, tip-toeing her away inside Alden’s room with calculated steps, her breath below a whisper. She looked around making sure no one saw her as she entered Alden’s room. Alden was lying down on his bed motionless, Adria gazed at him for a moment—she had to do this successfully to keep the spell working or else Dana would be brought back and her mission to control the pack would go away forever, she thought. She took a deep breath as she reached into her cloak bringing out what the witch had given to her, a small root tied with strings. The witch's instruction was clear —use the root to round over his head in a circle, mention the incantation and the magic works. She knelt beside Alden’s bed, her hands began trembling as she held up the root over Alden’s head. She whispered some incantations, her voice barely audible circling the root over Alden’s head. A glimmer of light shined as she mentioned each word, with Alden’s body twitching up, sweat gathered on his forehead as his eyes fluttered for a bit threatening to open but the magic held him in place. Adria continued to mention the words, her voice growing intense and cold, her eyes focused on Alden as his chest began to rise and go down rapidly. The ritual was working, she thought, just as the witch had promised. She finally said the last word, the light around Alden faded and his body relaxed into the bed. Adria stood slowly from beside Alden’s bed gazing at Alden, her heart racing, wondering if the spell had fully clicked In. Without mentioning another word, she began to leave, taking a once-over look at Alden, she tip-toed her way quietly just as she had entered the room. She closed the door quietly behind her.Everywhere were all set up in the Silvercrest. The outside were decorated prettily. The pack maids and pack guards were all set up and attentive. Dana opened her windows, her gaze lingered on the outside for a Moment. She pressed her lips into a smile. She turned her head slowly when she heard the door opened. Her maid walked in. She bow her head to greet Dana,“ Greetings my Luna,” Dana nodded slowly to her. The maid gestured to her,“ May I do your dress?” “ Sure,” Dana answered and she turned her back to her. The Maid started lacing the tie at the back of her dress. And for a second, Dana’s memory wavered back to the day she was rejected by her mate, the moment just all felt too similar like it was reoccurring. Of course she knows Alden will not reject her again but she wasn’t certain for sure. And she wonders why, because Adria was no longer in the picture. Unless there is another villian waiting to strike. “ Done, My Luna,” the maid said. Dana smiled to
“ Where is she?” Alden yelled, his voice thundering over the building. “ I swear, she was out in the fields,” A pack guard answered, his hands trembling. Another guard enters, he bowed to Alden,“ She is nowhere to be found.” “ WHAT!!!,” Alden yelled again, his thunderous voice filling the air. “ You two just get out of my sight, I will find her myself,” Alden said, he puts his hands on his waist and heaved a deep sigh. He paced around his room and something caught his attention. He wanted to ignore it but his mind kept drawing him back to that spot. He walked closer to his table, he picked a paper and opened it gently. It was a letter and it reads: Find me; In a cave in the woods, the smallest, let’s talk business, with hate, Adria Alden clenched his jaw, he tightened his fist around the paper. “ Arrrgh,” he grunts and stomps his hand on the table. He wore his coat and dashed out of his room. He get to the woods, he saw a small cave, in his mind he thou
FIRST PERSON POV. I was waiting for the perfect time to strike and this is just it. I have been waiting for a moment now and time seems to be ticking fast, she was smiling at them all. Some maids were around her and even some pack guards. They seems to have miss her so much, her charm, yes that charm she had used to capture Alden’s Mind.I don’t care if it’s the moon goddess blessing or whatever. All I know is that she took my space, she knew I was in love with him. I’m not going to forgive her. I will pay her back. “And this is just the moment I have been waiting for,” I muttered to myself when I saw the pack maid and guard walking away from her. It was as though she dismissed them. She started walking into the fields. She reached the field and she started to inhale the scents of the flowers, she close her eyes and her hand trail over the flowers. Since when we had known each other, that was one thing she enjoy so well. Now she was alone in the fields, with no one around
“ I will do everything to wake you up,” Alden squeezed Dana’s palm gently. “ There is nothing I can do anymore, I could only work with the Moonflower Elixir,“ the healer exhale sharply,he turned to look at Alden,“ I think you should consult the moon goddess. He tapped Alden gently on the shoulder and walked away. Alden nodded. “ Yes, The moon goddess,” he muttered to himself, and pointed his finger to the air suggestively. He began to walk through the corridors, he met his Beta on the way. His Beta halted his steps as he saw Alden. Alden leaned close to him,“ Since you became my Beta, I have never treated you unfairly, you know that right?” “ Of course I do,” Beta replies, his brow wrinkling in confusion. “ Good,” Alden squished his brows, “ Are you the one that stole the Moonflower?” His Beta jerked his head up,“ No, No,” his brows wrinkled,“ Why do you even think it was me?” “ You were the last person with me,” Alden scoffed. “ No, I didn’t take it.” “ Th

Alden muscles were tightened as he walked close to the drawers in his room. His Beta followed him from behind. “ Get some warriors ready,we are going to Red Hill,” he commanded as his Beta helped him fit in his coat. He turned to face his Beta, who was staring at him with an incredulous look. “ What?” Alden questioned, his brows arched. His Beta used the back of his palm to touch Alden’s neck. “ What are you doing?” Alden slapped his hand away. “ Alden, do you know what you’re even saying, that place is a very dangerous place, people don’t survive there,” his beta said, his shoulders stiffened. “ That’s the only way I can get the Moonflower and the only way to save her,” Alden said. The Beta sighed,“ Okay, I wish you luck though.” “ Good, now go do what I told you,” Alden said and the Beta walked away. *** Alden hopped on his horse, four pack warriors also hopped on their various horses. They began to ride away. Alden stopped when he saw his Beta approachin
Dana's body fell back to her chair. She tightened her hold on the chair. What could she want to talk about? She questioned herself. “ Since when you came into this pack, there have been so much unrest and lots of threatening situations,” Luna stated, her voice sharp. Dana heaved a sigh, "When
