Chapter no 21

She ran upstairs, towards the observatory’s telescopes. Mason was right behind her, making sure she won’t trip and fall because she wasn’t looking down but up at the stars. She stood there feeling upon her the vastness of the sky above. And how little her life seemed to be, like a butterfly flapping her wings, no one knew the sea of thoughts in her.

She silently waited for her turn at the telescope, striking up a conversation with people like her, trying to admit nature for once, in theory extremely busy lives.

Upon her turn, she peered through the eyepiece and gasped in awe. She saw the beautiful rings of Saturn first, her heart clenching at the breathtaking amazement she was suddenly filled with. Why hadn’t she come here before? Why had she delayed this moment for so long?

Right, because she wasn’t allowed to. She glanced sideways at Mason, looking at the sky above without the telescope, just bare eyes. His eyes turned to her, and she smiled.

“You wanna see?” She asked him, straight
