After a long night, of the lamp light changing and fading into many different colors, some eating, and turning sides, hunting and a bit of racing the mind horses to find a goal maybe, or just ending this anxiety. She came to a conclusion and decided she needed a hamster.
The hamster had nothing to do with the goal or her future, It's just that while searching for a good opportunity to make a name for herself. She came to a picture of a baby hamster in a sock, his big head and tiny hands outside of the sock while his other half tucked in nicely. He was looking to be in the most comfortable of places. And to her the cutest thing she came across.
So, She made a mental note to have a pet now. It was time she grew up and raise some babies, such as a baby hamster.
This will give her a sense of well-forgotten 'Responsibility'.

On her way to the pet shop, she imagined the proud moment of a mother when she would tuck her own hamster into a pink fluffy sock and she will fall asleep with her. Maybe they can get matching socks, one for the hamster and one for her, and they both could tuck in and watch some zombies on the TV.
The car came to a stop, and before the driver could get out and open the door for her, she was inside the shop. Many a kind of pets. She looked around to find her dream hamster.
There were six hamster cages in total in the pet shop. She wanted a golden hamster in a small size, and soon enough, cause there were only six options, she found 'The one,' The hamster she wanted to spend the rest of her life with, cuddle and sleep with, and share her most intimate feelings.
She brought it and a brown box was given to her in which lay her baby. The next stop was to buy the little being a home. She found a white cage on two sides and glass on the other two. Wooden two-story building, three beds with pink sheets, stairs and a running wheel, and grass on the ground. A perfect home. She was sure it was a female. She could feel her motherly instincts and mothers are never wrong. She was going to name her Chip.
They come home and there were two reactions, a shriek and two 'What the hell' phrases upon her arrival entering the door. The shriek was from Madam Rosella, and the phrase about hell was from Mr. Vitale. The first one was a reaction to Rosella's unwanted and sudden scream, and the second was a pure and utter disappointment at his only child holding a rat.
Mr. Vitale was in the lounge with a newspaper in his hands, and a look of horror on his face looking at his daughter holding what appeared to be a rat. Claiming it to be her new baby? On the other hand, Madam Rosella had the cup of tea that was meant to be served to Mr. Vitale and also a look of horror on her face.
"A rat?" Shrieked, "Mr. Vitale I would not tolerate a rat in this house," she turned to him.
"Mutual feeling, Madam," he replied eyeing a brown thing looking at him from the cage, his whiskers teaching making Mr. Vitale frown.
"It's a hamster," Said Ella, irritated.
"He is glaring at me," said Rosella, "He will come to my dreams to haunt me now, rats do that to me all the time,"
"She is a hamster!"
"It belongs outside the house,"
"It belongs in my room, this is my pet, I just adopted him, and you want me to abandon him,"
Mr. Vitale had his newspaper down and was probably thinking about the moments that led to this one, and takes a big sigh.
"Okay, he can stay," he finally said.
"It's a she,"
"Of course, she is, Would she like some tea or something?... Take it to your room, Eleanor, and make sure it never comes out,"
"On my way, Sir," And she ran upstairs.

A week later,
It was a gray day, The rain drizzled from the sky, blessing the earth and its contents. They were all in the school cafe getting done with their lunches. Eleanor was stealing glances at Justin and he was doing the same.
"You are much looking towards a person you claim you don't like," said Jen.
Eleanor was caught off-guard and flustered. She moved her hand to tuck the hair behind her ear that was covering her face and shrugged.
"I am admiring God's creations,"
"Yeah Right," Jen sneered.
"I just remembered from God's creation," said Maiden glancing at Ella, "We haven't been to the club for like ever, We should totally go today, It's Friday, weekend!" She raised her eyebrows in question.
"You wanna go see the hunk," Jen asked.
"Yup," She nodded her head, "I just went through a breakup and now I need some good human sight for my teared-up eyes,"
"Fair enough," Jen acknowledged, "Our friend really deserves this, We should go,"
"Okay," Replied Amy, and I nodded my head Yes.

Later that night, we were all in the club. It was 7 PM, the music was loud, the Referred hunk was there, and people all sweaty, and drunk, dancing on the stage, some talking and some doing forbidden stuff in the corners.
I was three drinks down.
"We then went to the movies, and held hands through the entire film," Amy was telling us about her date last light. I was the least interested in her story because It was repetitive. I had heard all about it last night and now was just some filtered details. When you are best friends, you get to know everything firsthand, with no filter.
"Girl, yo palms must be sweaty," Asked Jen.
"ehh, they were, But I don't mind,"
"How did you even eat the popcorn?" Jen asked.
"With the other hand,"
"Very innconvinient,"
We all agreed.
I asked for another drink and He looked at me. He tilted his head slightly looking deep into my eyes, making my breath stop in my lungs. I don't need oxygen, Was it just me or his eyes were making me more drunk?
"It's going to be excessive," He said. A long time after, I heard his raspy tone.
"What?" I asked intaking a breath.
"Drinking," He added. Maybe it will be, I am already three glasses down and had problems seeing straight.
"Okay," I whispered.
I have a crush on him. I really do. I turned on my bar stool and faced the group of girls next to me. My friends. they were all drunk too.
A loud sound echoed in the far distance. Bang! BANG! The sounds become more urgent and near. The door to the bar echoed with loud sounds and people. The music stopped and everyone stood still, looking in that direction.
Five men appeared in front of the bar. All of them masked and wrapped in coveralls. Screams ringed in the air, along with bodies crashing and crying.
"EVERYONE STAY STILL," One of the men yelled, and fired a bullet in the air. "Silence," People stopped at their places. What the hell is happening here? My heart was making multiple skips in a minute and my stomach was in a pit. Shit! Shit! This is what Dad warned me about. People; animals in them.
"We just want our girl, and you all can go away unscratched," He announced.
The men scanned the room moving their heads, their eyes landing on everyone. One of them moved. He was inching closer and closer to me. Why is no one helping? Where are the cops? Where are the guards? My breath was knocked out of me when I realized they could have been lying there, dead. killed by these men. And when I registered exactly who the man referred to as the girl they wanted, It was too late. I was already being dragged by my hair toward the exit.
I cried and thrashed, but no one helped me. Instead, people started running frantically towards the back door. Dad!
Once in the life of every person, good or bad, but mostly good, comes a time when they start to question the superiority of dear humans walking around on this dear earth. Question the benevolence and its meaning to dear humans. And they came out disappointed. This was my moment to be disappointed, and I really was. When I said I was disappointed at humans, this is what I mean. People see a woman being groped by three men, hurting her, and probably will kill her, and instead of even trying to help they run away. No one even thought of calling the police. and if someone did, where are the police? Is humanity doomed? I was contemplating believing the fact that humans are still humans when I saw something, more precisely someone. But was I the one wrong here, asking people to endanger their lives to save mine? The entire hall was almost empty, and I was helpless and hopeless. I felt like a watermelon was shoved down my throat, trying to control the bulging of tears in my eyes. I was fight
He was outside the door, his hand on the handle. He had just knocked on the Door and permission to come in from the other side was given. He took a deal breath, nervousness clearly visible on his face. He finally opened the door and came in."Please sit down Mason," Said Mr. Vitale, and Mason did so sitting in front of Vitale. It was a warm office, giving mature vibes. A big mahogany table like all rich people's offices. One chair behind the table with Arthur sitting on the other side, and two empty chairs on the front on which Mason sat."I will not go into long meaningless conversations," Arthur begins, "As I wanted to know yesterday, You are an assassin, what are you doing in my bar as my bartender?""I left that life behind. I need a long break, from killing people,""You killed three people yesterday, You think you can change who you are?"Mason had the images of three Men in black he had a shoot yesterday to save Eleanor. He still didn't understand why he did that. To save her l
It was a weird ride going to college. But what was weirder was that he wanted to come with me."You cannot come inside," I said when I saw him behind me at the door."I am ordered to," He simply stated looking directly into my eyes. There were people around and were doing what they do, staring. At me, and more precisely at him. And he was looking at my eyes and I was trying not to look into his eyes."You are not allowed in," I whispered spoke so only he could hear."I have a permission letter," Be said, pulling out a document from his jacket and showing me."Permission letter? From who? How?" I asked. All of this was happening right in the middle of the stairs, which were covered with people, all wanting to know what I was doing with him."Your father, he got it from the directors, Not know how,"I opened my mouth and then closed it. I look around for any teacher or staff and then open my mouth again, "If anyone says anything, You are the one responsible," I again whisper said, pulle
After a very awkward lunch, and then an uneasy day at college, which lacked social assurance and grace, It was finally time to go home. It was after a long duration, I was actually looking forward to being locked away in my room for the rest of my day, and doing nothing, rather than leaving the house, which was a constant wish of mine. All so I can have a break from the heebie-jeebies, I had been feeling all day, all thanks to her dad for hiring Mason. He won’t be there with her in her home. Mason was a good guard, she could see that. But not good for her.Maybe she should go back and tell her dad that he just ain’t it and they can go back to the usual overweight team of builders following her car, but staying away from her, and her school.Right now she was heading to her car, ignoring the turning faces and talking mouths, almost all of them directed at her. Mason was right in front. Just as she had stepped at the first stair lowering down, she heard someone call out to her.“Hey!” I
I knocked on the door and waited outside to hear an answer. It was almost evening, and I had changed into my sweats, deciding to stay in for the rest of the day.“Come in,” My father said from the inside. I opened the door, walked in, and closed it behind me. My father smiled as he looked at me. He had a paper in his hand, and glasses on his nose, through which he was reading whatever.“I hope I didn’t disturb you?” She asked him, approaching the sofa he was sitting on.“No, My dear, how would you ever do that?” He asked, smiling. Gosh, I came here to complain but he is in such a good mood. Maybe I should try a different approach.“About today,” I said settling onto the sofa with crossed legs, “I was wondering if we could shift back to the large number of guards that stayed outside my school, rather than one roaming inside?”“And why is that?” He asked, looking at his paper.“… because it’s annoying, I mean why would you request to let him in, every thing was going well. I was taking
As I sat in the car, I felt my stomach clench. I was hungry, and I was tired of my room last night. I spent quite a few days in there and now that I have a guard following me around and my mind rushing with all the cons of it. It was time for experiencing the pros. So, I texted my dear friends if they would like to join me for lunch. No one seemed interested at first, So I texted them with ‘Mason will be joining us too,’ This resulted in me a ton of messages from each one of them and we were on to deciding where to go. I wanted some Gourmet meals so we decided on french dine in. I asked the driver to turn the car to the decided restaurant. “You have your father’s permission?” Mason asked when I finished. “I don’t need it,” I said, “I need permission only when I’m out past 10, before that I can go to Valdez and back with no issue,” I told him. He nodded his head. Half an hour later, I was standing outside the restaurant calling every one of them with the answer of them being on t
I was at my desk, my hands roaming around my notepad, filling out a mindmap for my presentation. I had my laptop in front of me, shining its light on my face. I adjusted my glasses on my nose and looked at my phone that just chimed."Hey, Ella. I was wondering if you have the notes from today's 'From molecules to cell class'?"Justin just texted me for notes. He was in class. He was sitting right behind me."Don't you have it?" I texted back, "You were in class?"Five minutes later, He text back with an emoticon hiding his face, "I was distracted in class," He texted."Yeah...Bianca was looking pretty," I replied smiling by myself."I have many other distractions than Bianca," He said."Like what?" I asked. There was another silence of a few minutes when my phone chimed again."Like the shade of your hair and the light reflecting from it, making them more beautiful," He texted with a wink emoticon.I froze for a moment at reading his text. Then I read it again. This seemed to flirt wi
My feet and back were hurting after all the walking we did. It had been almost two hours and we had only covered three shops. Amy was checking out the prices for some bags she liked for herself and I was more than done with shopping.I was hungry, and tired, both mentally and physically. A sinister enough plan roams in my mind for a while. What can go wrong if I sneak out? I can tell Amy I got lost. And it won’t be much of a lie because I am losing my mind. I run my eyes around the store. Amy focused on the shop helper and My dear bodyguard focused on his book. I slowly walk to the end of the store, switching my gaze between both of them.Slowly, I walk outside and just a bit walking to the right, I sprint. I take the first left and slow down. I hear a voice behind me, “Stop,”I do stop and look behind. It was Mason. My eyes widen looking at him. He was a few feet away from me. Instinctively, I turn around and start running in whatever direction.“Hey, wait!” I hear but do not stop. I
