"Did that really happen?" Rose was looking at the scene, her hair stood straight. "I am not seeing things, right?"
"I guess my prayers finally reached the heavens!" Miles couldn't stop grinning in astonishment. "This guy is going to be my savior!"
~paatt~
"Stop jumping to conclusions, stupid!" Rose hit his head to bring him back to reality. "No matter how strong, a weapon is still just a weapon!"
Lazy Soul, in the middle of the arena, was having the most troublesome time to understand what just happened. Even though this was just a virtual world and his weapon was still safe in his mind palace. The one that shattered into pieces was actually a replica created by Odin Space. Still, the shock was too great for him.
Lazy Soul was famous for being one of the top 150 in the internal rankings in his entire clan, 'Ghost Ravens'. His most recognizable quirk was his overbearing strength. He and his 'Hell Gauntlet' were famous for their brute force approach
Liam was fuming in anger, but he still wired Miles the decided amount. He was aware of how much of a mess this was to get strangled with Rose for a bet he couldn't even win. After giving Miles the winning amount, he left the scene with fuming rage.~PAAATT~"Ouch..." Miles got hit in the head out of the blue. "What?""You are an idiot!" Rose looked at him, her eyes void of emotions. "Do you think he would have given you the money if I wasn't here?""Yeah, I know and I am sorry sis!" Miles apologized to her. "I'll be careful next time."After this, both left the scene and went to the top-most floor of the same building, which happened to be on the 23rd floor of the enormous building. This enormous building was owned by the clan 'Ghost Ravens'. Ghost Ravens were also a big deal among all the top ranking clans.Every year they grabbed one of the top-10 positions in the Clan's Yearly Rankings in Global Magazine named: 'The Cosmic Legions', which
"Since I have answered your query." She looked at him hopefully. "Can we begin duel?""Yeah, sure! Thank you, sister."Creed was also getting excited. "I had some other questions too, but let's put that off for some other day..."With his new strength and weapons, his confidence was over to the moon. Creed wanted to increase his proficiency with the saber. He knew she also used swords, so no one was a better opponent than her right now. Although he knew how to use swords, his sword-skills were very rusty."Mister damaged, can we record today's match... if you don't mind?""There is an option to record?" Creed gazed at her, surprised. "I mean sure, can you share a copy with me as well?""Absolutely!" She nodded while noticing him pulling out an unfamiliar weapon."Oh, so you have switched to swords now?" She looked at him, jiggling his saber around for a quick warm-up, "I must say, that's weapon looks exquisite, Mister Damaged.""Thanks
"What!! You are the head of the R&D department?" Creed gazed at him skeptically. His informal appearance and disordered clothes along with a casual stroll in the hall with bare feet weren't something one would expect from a HOD and that too of the R&D department. He also wasn't an old man either, he looked like he was in his early 40s. Creed was a little taken aback by this new personality. His appearance was way too different from what he had in mind."Yes! I am..." Raymond replied to him suddenly. "Is there a problem?""No... I mean, no problem, sir!" Creed replied hesitantly.Raymond eyed him from top to bottom until his eyes get fixed on the map that Creed was holding."The map you are carrying is inaccurate. All the buildings on the campus keep shifting their positions for some technical reason you wouldn't understand. It's not very difficult for a newcomer to get lost. You've probably come inside the wrong building.""I see...
The Genome Library was the world's biggest, partially centralized library. The amount of information the library had was nothing ordinary. Though it was the right approach to put all the information in a single place, so there were many branches of the library with their own section.Creed has come back to the Genome Library. This time he also observed that for some reason the buildings have changed their positions. Raymond had told this to him yesterday, but he realized that they have literally switched the positions randomly. The buildings weren't moving right now, so he assumed that this must have happened in the night. He still didn't understand the reason for switching positions. Logically, this was a huge consumption of energy, so if it was happening there must have been a pretty good reason for this. Creed soon dismissed his thoughts and entered the R&D department."Mister Raymond, I think I—""First of all... No 'mister' or 'sir'! Drop t
Creed followed Jessica to the floor where Raymond was. When they both come down, he saw a vast group of people busily buzzing around in the hall. The place looked so highly advanced it blew Creed's mind. He felt he was in some sort of movie set of sci-fi movie. They all looked immersed in something extremely important. He also observed that the place was not very elegant since several broken pieces of equipment and wires were lying on the floor and in the corners. Interestingly, the huge was also filled with tools and equipment whose function Creed had no idea of."So, this is the main laboratory where everybody works!" Creed mumbled. "Looks like a crummy warehouse...""What you are looking at is like a joint Laboratory," Jessica explained when she heard him. "This hall is enormous, and people usually work day and night here. As you can see, time is a crucial asset for us, so cleaning is always at the bottom of our checklist. Even after maintaining a
Creed open his eyes and found himself fully submerged under impenetrable darkness. He felt as if he was floating on a planet with zero gravity. His entire body felt warm and fuzzy, but most importantly, his mind was filled with utter confusion and shock. As advised by other researchers, Creed was wearing nothing except his boxers and an oxygen mask inside the glass tank. Soon he touched his body and also noticed that many of his recent wounds were already fading away, just like it happened during his visit in a lost city inside the abyss."Are you kidding me... Is this really 'Vyom'? Have these people already discovered Vyom?" Creed's mind suddenly got filled with questions."Wait a minute, this isn't Vyom! Though It only feels similar!""From what I remember, Vyom was much cleaner and energizing as compared to this..." Creed mumbled within himself. "Though this feeling is very similar to when I entered the city in the abyss, I am also sure th
"I think I am close," Creed grumbled.Raymond stayed silent, his mind was still filled with rampaging thoughts. He was not expecting things to turn this ugly. He knew that subject will face difficulty with the inflation, but none of his previous subjects were this crazy. None of them could go past 20 tries whereas Creed was still asking for more even after 87th continuous attempt."God! This kid is like a bull!""He should have fainted by now...""Is he not human or something?"Creed's telling them that he was close lured Jessica into perplexity. She knew how difficult this step was, but she also knew if he stopped now, then there was almost no chance of him reaching the third stage today. His body would not recover from the recoil stress atleast, not for today."What should we do now?" Jessica turned at Raymond.Raymond was silent the entire. Somewhere in his mind he was also aware that this might be it.
Creed went back inside the tank, aware of the fact that the real struggle was about to begin. He faced some failures in Inflation, since he wasn't completely proficient with it. Though he didn't take too long, after 2-3 tries he started getting a hang of it.Even though Creed was faster and tenacious, he was still a human, prone to mistakes. Eventually, after a certain number of failures, he was crossing inflation easily in every single attempt. Creed also noticed that with every successful attempt in Inflation, the scenery was changing in front of his eyes.
