Chapter 1

Before I begin the tale, let us bow our heads or raise our hands. Whatever your belief, close your eyes even for a minute and pray to be guided, and pray to never be as deceived and misled as Aphrodite got deluded. 

Turn around now, leave this book behind and never open it again for it is bad luck on your soul. 

It has been foretold that once you begin to read the tale of Aphrodite you are unable to stop until the very end. 

If you are still reading, I say you are either very brave or very stupid. I pray for you... 

May God have mercy on your soul

She had skin as dark as midnight when the moon is covered by dark night clouds; her skin is as dark as midnight when not a single star is in the sky to shine a light upon the earth; and her skin is as dark as the abyss when you fall to your death and succumb to the angel of death.

Yet, the very same dark skin is as smooth as silk. 

Her skin has a shine to it and many believe she has diamonds beneath her skin or, that she was simply, God's favourite.

Her lips are full and shaped, unlike those she is surrounded by with thin pink lips that disappeared when they attempted on chewing their bottom lip.

Her beauty was beyond words and beyond definition...

It is said that if you looked into her eyes, you fell in love with her and if she smiled at you, you would collapse from being acknowledged by a Goddess. 

She was untainted, she was the most intelligent, she was the most beautiful, she was the most powerful and she was human.

Human, she was, with blood running through her veins and a steady heartbeat, but there was evil lurking around the big mansion, an evil being who had his eye on little lamb Aphrodite. An evil being with sharp teeth and a thirst for human blood. An evil being who craved to dig his teeth into her neck...not to suck her blood, but to mark her.

A vampire.
