I’ve spent more than an hour talking to Alex. We are sitting on my bed while munching on cookies that his butler delivered us. It was the same one that drove me here. His name is Smede, and I like him, even if he is a scary Lycan. Alex, on the other hand...well...

I glance at Alex when he stuffs his mouth full of cookies before swallowing. He doesn’t even chew before he burps and looks at me with a raised eyebrow. “I’m not going to apologize for my bad manners. This is my home.”

My cheeks turn molten hot. His stomach is jutting out a little from eating so many cookies, but it’s still pretty obvious he has a six-pack underneath his clothes. “Umm...I-I wasn’t expecting you to do that...” I mumble.

Alex grins mischievously, “Well, you better get used to me having no manners because that’s just how I roll,” he says while patting his stomach. “This is also a house where only men live, so eh...things might smell like cheeseballs.”
