LOGINAuthor's POV
The most foolish thing Egon's bodyguard could do is keep his weapons lying in the car negligently when she is in it, a reward? He got stabbed in the spine, the most important body part which is needed to chase someone when they escape. She is called smart for a reason.
Kicking him out of the car was easy after his injury; she couldn't believe that Egon really thought his bodyguard could escort her alone.
Now that the steering was in her hands, she was free to go anywhere. The road was huge and wide for her to run wild. Hot tears flowed freely from her eyes as she drove at full speed, not because she was scared of getting caught, but because her mind was not in her control. She crashed and broke everything which came in her way, whether it was barricades or boards.
The destination was still blurry, but the pain in her heart was clear and loud.
She gritted her jaw hard and crushed the plants near the road, she had gone crazy. The pain was clutching her heart till it suffocated. The car was scratched and broken on many sides.
She was so fast that even the devil would have failed to stop her; the craziness was surging red in her eyes. It was school ahead, and she had no intention to stop even when she saw children crossing the road. Her heart didn't move until she came close, and finally, something in her dead heart moved. She hit the brakes, and the children ran away.
"Queen?"
Celcius knocked on the door.
Emerald looked at him through watery and defeated eyes.
"Celsius?"
He opened the door and gave her his hand.
"Come with me..."
He looked around to see if anyone was following her.
Emerald sobbed and gave him her hand; her bare feet touched the street.
"Your feet are hurting."
He scooped her in his arms and she stayed quiet and numb.
Celcius carried her towards his car and placed her inside. She saw him parking Egon's car at the side of the door.
She was silent when he came back and started driving.
"We need to get away from here, he must be on his way to take you."
Emerald was still staring out of the window.
"Stop the car!"
Celcius looked at her confused.
"But we are on the run!"
"Stop the car, Celcius!"
She yelled in frustration.
He hit the brakes, and she dashed out of the car. The road was in the middle of the forest.
She ran towards the trees and burst out crying. Celcius rushed towards her and grabbed her before she could fall on the ground.
He was shocked to see her breaking down like this; he had never seen this side of her. Emerald looked at him while crying hard.
"I am tired, Celsius... I am tired! I can't breathe."
He nodded in understanding.
"Queen___"
He froze when she let her body fall on his chest with the feeling that at least there is one person who wants to protect her.
His hands trembled with nervousness as he placed them on her back to assure her.
She broke down in his arms and he didn't say anything until she calmed down.
Emerald quickly got away from him once she came back to her senses, and regretted showing her vulnerable side to her bodyguard. She saw pity for her in his eyes and looked away, this is what she didn't want.
"Everything will fall in place, Queen... You will get back to where you belong."
She just nodded and went to the car.
"Let's go before he comes."
Celsius started the car and Emerald felt sleepy after crying so much. She couldn't resist the sleep and fell into a deep slumber.
The car came to a halt, and the jerk woke her up. She rubbed her eyes and looked around, just to find herself in the exact same spot from where she escaped.
Adrenaline rushed inside her as she looked around and saw Egon's car.
Her eyes widened, and her body started shaking when Egon opened the car door and got out. He felt like an angry lion when he started walking towards their car.
"Celsius, run!"
She was in panic and knew that she couldn't be saved, but she wanted to save Celsius for trying to protect her. For not leaving her alone when she needed help.
"Save yourself!"
Celsius looked at her, shocked when she said that, but it was too late. Egon opened the car door and pulled her out by the arm. She was too terrified to react. Attacking his bodyguard and escaping wasn't intentional or planned, she just acted on impulse, and she will pay for it now.
His grip was strong on her arm as if he wanted to hurt her badly.
But something clicked in her mind, and she froze, and Egon stopped. Her eyes widened at Egon, and she slowly turned towards Celsius, who was standing in front of his car like he was not afraid of Egon's presence.
The realisation hit her, why she was back at the place from where she escaped.
"Celsius?"
She mumbled while shaking her head in disbelief.
He betrayed her, she cried and broke down in front of the man who was deceiving her. She was trying to save him, didn't kill him and yet he stood with her enemy. He was supposed to be loyal.
Celsius looked down in shame when she questioned him with her eyes.
Egon smirked as he stood behind her, his lips fanned her ears.
"Took you long enough to understand that your good-for-nothing men won't dare to go against me..."
Chills went down her spine when he legalised her thoughts. Celcius' words rang in her head.
'Everything will fall in place, Queen... You will get back to where you belong'
Her pain took a back seat as she filled with silent rage.
Celsius was always with Egon, last night when he found her on the beach, when Egon haunted her in the hotel, when he killed her men. It was Celsius who led Egon to her loyal menwere hiding till now. He betrayed her.
"I am sorry, Queen but I had to do it for survival."
He apologised.
"How does it feel when someone you trust the most betrays you?"
Egon mocked.
"Someone to whom you showed your vulnerable side and trusted with your life. Someone who assured your safety, and you thought you could rely on them."
She turned around to leave, but he held her back; she fell numb on his back.
"I hope you have realised that you don't have anyone. You are all alone and no one cares for you... Look around, and see that everyone wants you dead, even your loyals and family, so they can survive. You are a burden on everyone. You are a curse to them."
He rested his side of his face on her cheek.
"Look around Emerald, no one wants you... Except me!"
He handed her a knife.
"Kill him!"
Celsius has helped Egon, but Spider's words are still fresh in his mind, and after watching Emerald crying on his shoulder, he can't see Celsius alive. He is not that merciful.
Egon frowned at her when she didn't grab the knife, as per her nature she should have killed him by now. His doubt of them having something fueled, something burned inside him.
"I said kill him, Emerald!..."
He ordered.
Emerald turned around and looked into Egon's insecure eyes. He was challenging her not to do it and face the consequences. She grabbed the knife from his hand.
"There was only one man in my life, Egon..."
She mumbled and his eyes darkened at her words.
"And it wasn't Celsius!"
She swirled and darted the knife behind her while maintaining intense eye contact with her captor. Both blazed with an intense look.
Her knife stabbed Celsius straight away in the middle of his neck, and he fell to the ground, lifeless.
Her aim was effortless even when she wasn't looking at it. Egon smirked when he looked at the dead body of her dear bodyguard, but it vanished when Emerald slipped into unconsciousness and fell into his arms.

Author's POV No one in the criminal underworld, not a even single soul would have ever imagined this day would arrive. Not in this lifetime at least. If someone had dared to suggest that Egon Bismarck, the infamous Mafia King, the man whose silence was deadlier than gunfire would one day stand at an altar… waiting for his bride? They would’ve been mocked.Ridiculed.Shot for their stupidity. And if anyone had claimed that the Queen, the woman forged from violence, vengeance, and unbreakable will walk down an aisle in a breathtaking gown, ready to offer her heart to the man she once swore to ruin?People would’ve placed bets on her blood before her vows.Yet here they were! Author's POV Egon held her like a man who had been starving for years and finally had something warm in his arms again. His arms tightened around her lazy morning frame, almost too tightly, as if she might dissolve into thin air the second he loosened his grip.“To be honest,” his voice came out low, a confession dragged straight from the center of his chest, “I thought you would never accept me again.”His thumb brushed her waist in slow circles — a habit he developed long before, one that never truly died.“I still don’t feel deserving of you,” he admitted, the words cracking slightly, “even though I’m selfish enough to not let you go.”Emerald’s answer came not through words at first, but through the way she burrowed even closer, nuzzling into the warmth of him like she was trying to sink into his bones. There was no fear, no hesitation — just a quiet, hungry comfort she had missed far more than she had expected.“I was in the same dilemma,” she murmured. She tilted her head to me
Author's POV Rafael had been too calm-too smug-when he asked her, "Are you ready to meet the real you?"There was something hidden behind that tone... something sharp, something calculated. Emerald should have protested. She should have pushed back. But at that moment, she was willing to walk into fire if it meant finding out who she really was.Rafael placed a naked sword on the table.A heavy, gleaming blade with a history soaked into its metal."Seen one of these before?" he asked, eyes gleaming with mischief. "Wanna touch?"Emerald's brows pulled together. She knew that question wasn't innocent. Nothing Rafael did was ever innocent. But the curiosity inside her was louder than the warning bells. She stepped forward and traced a finger along the blade-slowly, thoughtfully. She couldn't imagine the things Rafael had used this sword for.She wasn't sure she wanted to imagine."Ohh... who do we have here?"The voice behind her made her turn sharply.Another man stood there. Strikingl
Author's POV The ocean was about to witness their reunion again.Egon’s lips crashed onto hers with a hunger that had been rotting in his chest for far too long. It wasn’t a kiss — it was a claim, a scream, a desperate pull of two halves that had been cut apart and finally slammed back together. Emerald clutched his shirt with trembling fingers, dragging him impossibly closer, like she wanted to pull him under her skin.He groaned into her mouth, a raw, broken sound that betrayed every night he spent missing her. His body pressed into hers as the waves curled around them, cool on their skin, nothing compared to the heat rising between them. Her hands cupped his jaw, fingers shaking as they memorised him again — the stubble, the sharp lines, the warmth that had once been her home.“Egon…” she whispered against his lips, breath trembling. He closed his eyes like her voice hurt him. “Say it again,” he murmured, forehead resting on hers. “I’ve forgotten how to breathe without it.”She di
Author's POV Egon had abandoned the island castle long ago. Every stone, every hallway, every echo of that place carried the weight of what had been done to them—every wound they endured, every injustice that had carved itself into their story.
