66. Little Lesson!

Author's POV 

Egon stopped and snapped out of his thoughts when Ron knocked on the door. He realised that he was going to fuck up, but Ron saved him. 

Emerald rolled her eyes when Ron entered. She knew that something was going to happen, but Ron ruined it. She didn't say anything and decided to watch him silently. 

"King, I need a few approvals from you."

Ron looked at Emerald, confused, not understanding why this crazy girl was sitting with him. He hasn't seen any girl around Egon since he joined. 

Egon rubbed his face and nodded as he sat back in his chair. He tried to focus on whatever Ron was saying, but he couldn't ignore Emerald, who was eye fucking him. Her eyes were travelling everywhere on him and it was turning him on too. He could read her mind and her dirty thoughts. 

Never in his life, a girl has made him so nervous. 

He cleared his throat and tried to focus but her stare was too intense. He finally gave up and got up.

"Ron, come out!"

He stormed out of the office, Ron followed him and Emerald chuckled. 

"Poor gorgeous thing!"

She shook her head amused. It was fun to tease him.

But she was still looking for a way to break his shell, it would be difficult but not impossible for her. 

She has realised that he is not a pervert, as a mafia, he should have used her by now, but he was running away. It was fascinating her even more. 

Egon was talking to Ron when Emerald came out. This time, she wasn't teasing him but was talking to a man from her team, and he was admiring her face. She is beautiful and no man is immune to her charm. The man wasn't lustfully gawking at her; his eyes were respectful, but admiring her. 

Egon's eyes fell on him like an eagle; his heart was on fire after watching that. 

The man walked inside, and Emerald found Egon, who was looking at her with disapproval. She looked at him confused. 

"Did I do anything wrong, Mr Grumpy? Why do you look so disappointed?"

She teased him. 

"I don't want any man working here... Replace your male employees with females..."

He ordered.

"Are you jealous?"

She smirked.

Egon stepped closer to her, and their eyes locked in a deep stare.

"Security concerns!... Stop making everything about yourself!... You have two more days, finish your work and get out of my house."

Emerald touched his cheek and her smirk deepened.

"Your words and actions don't match... You can hide your emotions better!"

She placed an innocent but mocking kiss on his hard cheeks and walked away. 

Egon touched his cheek as his heart fluttered, and a small smile appeared on his lips.

"Little vixen!"

He shook his head, realising, chasing her away would be difficult. 

He turned around as he heard Ruby. 

"Good evening, King..."

She greeted and he nodded in acknowledgement. 

"I am here to check if everything is going well."

Egon sighed and rubbed his face. 

"Your sister is flirting with me, manipulating me and kissing me on the cheeks.... I am in turmoil of emotions and soon will go crazy... Other than this, everything is going well!"

Ruby's eyes widened.

"Well, I can't really do anything in that and you know that... She is your problem!"

She was struggling to hide her smile. 

"You sisters are enjoying my misery a bit too much!"

He raised his eyebrows at her. 

"Especially that little brat... By the way, I don't want any man in her team."

Ruby chuckled.

"He is gay!"

Egon frowned.

"But he was___"

His eyebrows furrowed when he realised that she was just testing him and he failed. She was checking if he was getting jealous, and he was. He sighed, realising that's why she smirked. 

"This woman is dangerous..."

"Do you really think that you can chase her away?"

Ruby smiled.

"I mean it will be hard when you yourself doesn't want that..."

"Ruby?"

Emerald called her.

"What are you doing here?"

Ruby smiled at her sister.

"Just here to check if you are not making any trouble."

Emerald grinned naughtily. 

"No, I am not!... Come I'll show you our work, it's looking so good." 

She dragged her inside and showed her all the work. 

Egon and Ruby were both looking at her proudly as she showed them with excitement. This Emerald was missing and now she is back to live her life. She was enjoying her life. Egon could notice the innocence in her which was long gone. There is still a child inside her and it comes out in front of her favourite people. 

He was finally watching these sisters living like sisters, and Emerald was finally able to love Ruby. 

"Wow, I am impressed!"

Ruby replied.

"You are doing great!"

"Then can I___"

"No!"

Ruby knew what she was asking for even before she completes it. 

Emerald huffed.

"But___"

"No!"

Ruby shook her head. 

"Come on, wrap up and let's go home!"

Emerald sulked. 

"Am I a little girl whom you are picking up after school? You are a jailer."

"Yes, call me whatever you want... But you are not going to the club!"

Ruby mocked back. 

Egon frowned when he heard that.

"Fine!"

Emerald agreed but he knows that she isn't someone who will agree so easily. She must be thinking something in her evil mind. 

"Are you free tonight?"

Emerald asked Egon and he just stared at her silently. 

"Emerald!"

Ruby scolded her and started dragging her away.

"Stop testing him..."

Emerald winked at him.

"See you tomorrow, Mr Grumpy!"

Egon sighed while rubbing his forehead. He called Ron.

"Ron, make sure each and every club in the city is shut down tonight!"

He smirked.

"Someone needs a little lesson!"
