Emerald instantly melted when his warm lips captured her; he tasted like heaven. Those lips moved on hers like he knows what she likes and how she likes it. His dominating grip on her was turning her hot.
Egon smirked on her lips when she gave in and kissed him back with the same passion. He slammed her against the wall and devoured her like never before.
Emerald suddenly snapped out of her daze and realised what she was doing, she wasn't supposed to kiss a man who had insulted her. She pushed him back and punched him in the face.
"Stay away from me!"
Egon chuckled while touching his stinging lip.
"You are still flattened on me, aren't you?"
He teased her more.
"Fuck you!"
She pushed her away and walked past him.
He laughed as she stormed out angrily.
"Fuck, it hurts!"
He touched his busted lip again and hissed.
Emerald went back to her home and Ruby's eyes popped out in shock when she saw Emerald in Egon's shirt.
"What the fuck?"
Emerald ignored her and stormed towards her bedroom while angrily cursing.
"What does he think of himself?"
"Oh my god__"
Her mother froze when Emerald crossed in front of her on the stairs, and she looked at Ruby, shocked.
"Egon?"
"Who else?"
Ruby shrugged.
"I don't know what's wrong with these two. When she was interested in him, he was pushing her away. Now when he is getting interested, she is mad at him..."
She huffed and went to see her daughter.
"Sweetheart?"
Emerald was storming back and forth while cursing.
"He is a monster... I am going to kill him."
"Because he kissed you?"
His mother chuckled, and Emerald frowned at her, confused.
"How did you know?"
She halted in her place.
Martina smiled.
"I know what a passionate kiss looks like!"
Emerald huffed and sat down.
"I don't understand what he wants from me. When I wanted him, he insulted me. And now when I am ignoring him, he is all over me... He is so difficult to understand."
"But isn't that what you wanted? You wanted his attention!"
Martina sat beside her.
"Yeah, but not like this... Can't he understand that I am mad at him and he needs to apologise instead of doing all this..."
She complained.
"He is complicated but tell me one thing."
Martina asked.
"Do you still want him?"
Emerald thought for a second.
"I don't know... He is confusing me."
Martina chuckled.
"Then do this... Keep ignoring him, he will give you attention and you will soon know if you are liking it or not..."
"You think he is now interested in me?"
She frowned.
"Yes, he always was... Men just don't like to show it until they start losing you. Now that you are ignoring him, he is insecure and wants your attention back."
She explained.
"Burn him until he confesses it, and the decision will be yours."
"You think so?"
Emerald asked curiously; she wanted to see this assumption turn into reality. She would love to see Egon confess.
"Try it!"
Martina got up.
"It burns more when another man enters the game. You are smart enough!"
She winked and walked out.
Emerald smirked.
"Hmm! Let's see!"
In the evening, Emerald was getting ready and Ruby frowned when she entered her room.
"Where are you going?"
"Auction! Mom is busy tonight, so I am taking her place."
Emerald smiled at her.
Ruby's throat went dry. Someone will recognise her there, and she might not be ready for this.
"I don't think you should go there. I'll ask someone else to go?"
Emerald turned around annoyed.
"Ruby, do you have any problem with me?... I have noticed it many times that you don't want me to go out and meet new people... What's wrong with you?"
Ruby shook her head.
"No, I don't have any problem but you are not well... I mean___ I'll come with you!"
She said out of nowhere.
"I am coming with you! Wait for me."
Emerald rolled her eyes.
"Whatever! You have half an hour."
Ruby accompanied Emerald to the auction, so she stops people from reminding her who she is.
Emerald was happy and excited for the auction. She entered and people's eyes fell on her. The Hall went silent, and the fear spread silently like a wildfire.
People looked at each other, shocked and terrified, but no one dared to move.
The evil Queen, who had been missing for months, was walking in, and she herself was unaware that this was the same Hall where she had killed a man the last time and set the Hall on fire.
Emerald frowned when people looked at her like that, she couldn't understand why. She turned towards Ruby to ask her but then saw Egon walking exactly behind them.
She sighed, thinking people are afraid of him and she thought it's her.
She waved it off, ignored Egon and walked away.
Meanwhile, Egon roamed his eyes in the Hall; this is the fear which only Emerald creates. Thankfully, he reached there on time and covered it, or else she would have definitely suspected it.
It took time for the people to relax and resume.
"So you followed me here too?"
Egon sat at the table she was sitting at.
"Looks the other way around..."
She scowled at him and noticed the side of his lips swollen a bit. Probably from her punch.
"What are you buying here?"
He asked while pulling her chair close to his.
"Common sense for you if there is any."
She mocked.
He chuckled and looked at the stage when the auction started.
Emerald looked at Egon suspiciously when he brought a precious necklace and kept it with him.
She felt jealous when she thought that he got it for someone else.
When the auction ended, she got up and accepted a dance offer from one of her close clients.
Ruby got tense when she noticed how Egon was throwing fire with his furious eyes.
Emerald was smiling and laughing, trying to provoke Egon more but she shouldn't have done that because she was playing with fire.
"King!"
Ruby got worried when Egon got up from his chair and went in the direction of Emerald.
Author’s POVYears had passed, yet time had failed to soften the legacy of Egon and Emerald. Their empire was stronger than ever, feared by the underworld, respected by allies, untouched by enemies. Author's POV No one in the criminal underworld, not a even single soul would have ever imagined this day would arrive. Not in this lifetime at least. If someone had dared to suggest that Egon Bismarck, the infamous Mafia King, the man whose silence was deadlier than gunfire would one day stand at an altar… waiting for his bride? They would’ve been mocked.Ridiculed.Shot for their stupidity. And if anyone had claimed that the Queen, the woman forged from violence, vengeance, and unbreakable will walk down an aisle in a breathtaking gown, ready to offer her heart to the man she once swore to ruin?People would’ve placed bets on her blood before her vows.Yet here they were! Author's POV Egon held her like a man who had been starving for years and finally had something warm in his arms again. His arms tightened around her lazy morning frame, almost too tightly, as if she might dissolve into thin air the second he loosened his grip.“To be honest,” his voice came out low, a confession dragged straight from the center of his chest, “I thought you would never accept me again.”His thumb brushed her waist in slow circles — a habit he developed long before, one that never truly died.“I still don’t feel deserving of you,” he admitted, the words cracking slightly, “even though I’m selfish enough to not let you go.”Emerald’s answer came not through words at first, but through the way she burrowed even closer, nuzzling into the warmth of him like she was trying to sink into his bones. There was no fear, no hesitation — just a quiet, hungry comfort she had missed far more than she had expected.“I was in the same dilemma,” she murmured. She tilted her head to me
Author's POV Rafael had been too calm-too smug-when he asked her, "Are you ready to meet the real you?"There was something hidden behind that tone... something sharp, something calculated. Emerald should have protested. She should have pushed back. But at that moment, she was willing to walk into fire if it meant finding out who she really was.Rafael placed a naked sword on the table.A heavy, gleaming blade with a history soaked into its metal."Seen one of these before?" he asked, eyes gleaming with mischief. "Wanna touch?"Emerald's brows pulled together. She knew that question wasn't innocent. Nothing Rafael did was ever innocent. But the curiosity inside her was louder than the warning bells. She stepped forward and traced a finger along the blade-slowly, thoughtfully. She couldn't imagine the things Rafael had used this sword for.She wasn't sure she wanted to imagine."Ohh... who do we have here?"The voice behind her made her turn sharply.Another man stood there. Strikingl
Author's POV The ocean was about to witness their reunion again.Egon’s lips crashed onto hers with a hunger that had been rotting in his chest for far too long. It wasn’t a kiss — it was a claim, a scream, a desperate pull of two halves that had been cut apart and finally slammed back together. Emerald clutched his shirt with trembling fingers, dragging him impossibly closer, like she wanted to pull him under her skin.He groaned into her mouth, a raw, broken sound that betrayed every night he spent missing her. His body pressed into hers as the waves curled around them, cool on their skin, nothing compared to the heat rising between them. Her hands cupped his jaw, fingers shaking as they memorised him again — the stubble, the sharp lines, the warmth that had once been her home.“Egon…” she whispered against his lips, breath trembling. He closed his eyes like her voice hurt him. “Say it again,” he murmured, forehead resting on hers. “I’ve forgotten how to breathe without it.”She di
Author's POV Egon had abandoned the island castle long ago. Every stone, every hallway, every echo of that place carried the weight of what had been done to them—every wound they endured, every injustice that had carved itself into their story.
