ASHINA’S POV

The spy hung from the wooden beam in the centre of the interrogation tent, his wrists bound tightly with thick ropes.

His face was bruised and swollen from the earlier struggle, his lip split open, blood trickling down his chin. The dim torchlight flickered against the damp canvas walls, casting eerie shadows across his battered body.

Alpha Boris stood before him, arms crossed, his gaze as sharp as a blade. I could sense his barely restrained fury, the silent promise of worse things to come if the spy refused to talk.

One of our soldiers approached, carrying a bucket of icy water.

Without hesitation, he threw it over the spy’s head. The man gasped, sputtering as the cold shock jolted him awake from his semi-conscious state.
