ASHINA’S POV

The land before me stretched out like an open wound, a painful reminder of everything I had lost. This was the place my father and brother had fought for, the land they had died trying to protect.

Now, it was under enemy control. The enemy tribe had settled here, fortified their defenses, and claimed it as their own.

I tightened my grip on the reins as my horse moved forward at a slow, steady pace.

Her ear moved slightly letting me know that she trusted me and that we got this.
