Chapter 19

Walking upstairs the first thing Dimitrios did was get rid of his suit jacket and tie. Rolling his sleeves up to elbow he walked inside his washroom to splash some water on his face to reduce the heat that utterly generated hearing the nonsense from Maria. Once he understood that a little of his temper came down he pushed the door open and came out of the room. 

Walking with measured steps he reached the other end of the corridor and stood in front of Iris's room. 

Twice he knocked on the door frame out of courtesy but heard no response. Frustrated with the result he pushed the door open to have a better look at the situation. The lights were dimmed inside the room but her silhouette was visible enough for him to understand. She was sprawled on the bed like dead fish and completely lost in her deep slumber.
