Chapter 18
Iris stirred in her sleep when she felt a soothing pat on her head. It was so constant that she relaxed her body more. When a hand caressed her cheeks, she couldn't help but push herself more in the palm greedily. Involuntarily her actions made the man chuckle a little.
"Such a kid..." A whisper only came out from his mouth.
Retreating his hand he went back to his previous position that was standing. Due to the sudden loss of warmth and caress her eyebrows knitted together. Even in her deep slumber, all she could feel was the missing of those touches.
Watching her sleeping intently he reached the foot of the bed and sat just inches away from her petite on the bed. Throwing his hand under the blanket he grabbed her first leg and pulled out a little to examine. The calf muscles were stiffened badly and the skin of her feet was already scraped.
