Chapter 21

Aurora’s POV

I hurriedly packed all the things into the blocks and made sure they were hidden properly before dashing out as fast as I could to the restaurant. My shoes kept hitting the pavement hard, and thrice my head nearly buckled over to the cold floor. My heart was racing but I didn't stop. Maya sounded so frightened and there was worry edged in her tone. I just needed to get to the restaurant and know what was wrong. I needed no one to tell me something terribly wrong had happened, and it involved me.

The street was undoubtedly so quiet and not in a good way as if to prove my point. I looked around me, but there was no sound, no people and not even the usual noise from other shops. I froze for a second, whirling my mind about what happened.

I reached the restaurant and paused on my track. Right in front of me, staring in my eyes was my name…AURORA… sprayed in big red letters on the wall.

My mouth dropped open as I moved closer, hands shaking.

“What… what is this?”
