Avenging The Mafia (The Tainted With Blood Series)

“Alexandra, love, we’re going to need to reach the bridge before dad gets to your father” Kiara said kneeling down to the ten-year-old girl’s height. Her heart raced against her ribcage as she thought of what was to come.

“How are we going to reach there?” The child asked. Kiara cupped her cheeks and kissed her forehead before showing her a knife.

“Leave that up to me, but I need you to keep this in hand. If anything happens, and if anyone tries to harm you; you’re going to need to defend yourself” Kiara said. Kiara put the knife in Alexandra’s pocket and took her hand as she searched the room they were previously locked in for anything that would help them fight. But knowing that there was no time to waste, she chose to run out without a proper search.

“Mum, we can’t run till there!” Alexandra said and Kiara nodded.

“We won’t be running till there, just trust me” she said as her eyes caught one of her father’s men unlocking a car. She snuck behind him and snapped his neck before he could process, his body falling limp. The warehouse that they’ve been locked in was secluded, no one knew where they were except her father’s most trusted man, and even he was now dead.

Kiara searched the man’s pockets for his phone, her eyes catching sight of the now frozen child who had just witnessed her coldheartedly kill a man. The regret she felt wasn’t one that she could describe, but even she knew that at this point; it was either them, or the man.

She pulled out his phone and unlocked it, thankful for the tricks that her husband has taught her over the years “Alex, we need to get out of here”

Her daughter snapped out of her shock and ran to the car. She got in the backseat as Kiara got inside “love, I’m going to need you to put your seatbelt”

Nodding, Alexandra put her seatbelt on just as Kiara started the car. Her eyes fixed on the road before she sped toward her husband’s location, knowing very well where it would be.

“Ivan” Kiara said holding the phone with one hand. She didn’t know who else to call at that moment, and judging by the fact that she knew Ivan’s number by heart, blame Alessio for that, he was the first she thought of.

“Kiara? What the hell? Where are you?”

“Listen we don’t have much time, wee need to reach the main bridge. Dad is planning on killing Alessio”

“What?” Ivan asked. she could tell that he stood up and was now getting ready to walk out “where are you?”

“Headed there, Alexandra is with me”

“We’re on our way” she hung up upon hearing those words knowing that she needed to focus on the road ahead.

Her eyes widened once she reached the accident sight, memories of her and her mother’s accident played in the back of her mind before she got out of the car and ran toward her love who was now laying lifeless in that flipped car.

“Alessio?” She said wide eyed. She opened the car’s door and checked her husband’s pulse, taking a breath of relief when she sensed it. He was bleeding, having hit his head, but at least he was alive.

She struggled to unlock his seatbelt which was stuck. But she didn’t care, she knew that she made it to her husband, and she wasn’t going to stop until she’s gotten him out.

“Step away from him, unless of course, you want the child to die” her eyes widened when she heard her dad’s voice. She got up and turned to face her father who smirked as he held Alexandra, his graddaughter to his chest. His gun was pointed at her temple making her body shake “now, be a good girl, and take a step back while raising your hands in the air”

Doing as told, Kiara took a step back, keeping her hands raised in the air as she feared what could come if she didn’t. Her eyes remained on Alexandra throughout the whole time, fearing for the child’s life. However, the little girl had a different plan as she pulled the knife out of her pocket making Kiara’s eyes widen.

Kiara braced herself to attack, and her daughter shoved the knife in Kyle’s thigh making him let her go. Kiara quickly rushed to take the gun, as the child ran away from him. She stood by the flipped car, her eyes wide as she took in Alessio’s state up close.

Kiara tried pulling the trigger but to no avail, and that alone made Kyle laugh as he pulled the knife out of his thigh “did you really think that I was stupid enough to load the gun, child?”

He didn’t give her time to respond before he attempted to punch her. Thankfully, Kiara was fast and hit him in the face with the gun. His eyes widening before he glared at her and hit her stomach. Her eyes widened when she felt her stomach bloat, however, it didn’t last long as Kyle grabbed her by her neck. Her knife which she handed Alexandra earlier was now held to her throat as the man she once called father choked her.

Her eyes caught sight of her husband as tears fell from her eyes.

“It’s over now, Aslanov’s”
