Blake raised his hands at the ravens, signaling them to seize the torture. He shook his head vigorously and yelled at her. "No! You told me your son was dead."

"I lied." Rebecca maintained a facial expression void of emotion.

Victoria looked back at her son and fought back the tears that threatened to drop as she saw blood dripping down his body with his huge, dark wings spread out. She could barely see his skin as blood covered most of it.
