ADELIA
What I saw was an unfamiliar place when I opened my eyes.
The tall ceiling that greeted my sight was very sleek and elegant. Yet, I failed to notice it, as my eyes were focused on the insignia that was masterfully engraved in the middle of the ceiling.
An image of the full moon... with a powerful looking sword silently placed beside it. It was composed of simple symbols. Yet, the power that emanated from it was beyond comparison with the others.
Just one look in the insignia already made my heart turn faster with excitement and my eyes turn wide with amazement.
It was an insignia that had disappeared for the past couple of centuries.
Talascar, the protector of the Moon.
In my visions, it was not until a few years later when this hidden insignia reappeared in the world. But now, I had the honor of closely seeing it. I was completely mesmerized.
"Do you recognize this symbol?" Suddenly, a low voice stated, making me almost jump in surprise.
I looked at where the sound came from and saw Lewis who was standing by the window. It seemed that he was observing the moon before I woke up.
'Ah... that's right. Earlier... Lewis marked me...' the thought slowly sinked in my mind and I remembered the previous happenings. 'So this place... I'm probably at his house.'
"Are you thirsty?" Lewis asked, effectively waking me again from my thoughts.
"Ah? Ye-yes!" I blurted out without thinking about it.
Lewis gave me a look before he walked towards the other side of the room where a small refrigerator was. Then, he took one bottle of water and walked towards the bed. My face started burning when I realized that he just got some water for me.
In my pack, there was a strict implementation of social hierarchy. Those who were ranked lower were totally not allowed to ask anyone higher in rank than them to do anything. Of course, that specially applied to the alpha.
No one was allowed to order Alec around. And anyone who got caught being disrespectful to him would end up being punished.
"So-sorry I didn't mean to ask you-" I started to explain that I did not intend on ordering him to get me some water.
"Do you want something else other than water?" Lewis asked and acted as if he was about to return to the refrigerator.
"No! Wa-water is fine!” I hurriedly said... before I started panicking when I realized that I spoke a little too loudly.
Lewis seemed to have not noticed it and sat by the side of the bed. Then, he twisted the cup of the bottle open and gave it to me.
I never received such treatment before. My face could not help but turn warmer once more before I respectfully and very carefully received the water bottle from him.
Suddenly, I heard a small low chuckle. However, when I looked at Lewis, he was sporting a straight expression.
'Was it my imagination?' I thought with furrowed brows before I carefully sipped on the cool water like a prized treasure.
'I have never seen an alpha serving water to anyone... not even their mates.'
'Even in my vision, Alec was my superior and lord in all aspects. I must appreciate this moment,' I thought as I gulped all of the contents of the water.
The moment I finished drinking, to my surprise, Lewis reached over and took the water bottle from me. There was an almost indiscernible smile on his face.
I was slightly at loss at what I should say. I looked down at the white blanket over my body and softly whispered, "Thank you."
"Hmmm," I heard Lewis say before I felt a hand on my left cheek, making me look up. My heartbeat fluttered as I shyly looked up and glanced at his face.
Lewis, however, did not meet my eyes. Instead, he was staring at my cheek.
"You were hurt here," After a few seconds, I heard him say.
'Oh,' I thought. 'So, he was looking at the injury I had when father hit me. '
My body healed slower than normal wolves. This was mainly because my wolf, Ylva, only had the strength of an omega. The slap that my father gave me was enough to give me a huge bruise that would stay for at least a day.
"...yeah," I said as I subconsciously covered my cheek with my palm.
Lewis gave me a deep look before he looked down at my legs. Then, he said, "Can I look at your legs?"
His statement immediately made me look at my legs covered by my jeans. I was unsure what he was talking about and merely said, "Yeah?"
Lewis took my answer as an affirmative and immediately reached for my legs. And without any warning... ripped the jeans that were covering my legs.
"Ah?!" I loudly exclaimed.
"Oh, sorry. I was in a hurry," Lewis nonchalantly said before I felt his warm palm on my leg.
ADELIALewis' unexpected action startled me. Yet, I did not stop him - at least that was what I tried to do. I trusted him, and I knew that he would not do anything that would bring me harm. However, I could not stay still when I felt something very cold dampened my skin."Wha-!" I loudly exclaimed as I tried to unsuccessfully retrieve my leg."Be good, it will be over soon," Lewis softly said as he held my leg in place. I repeatedly blinked as I saw him putting frozen gel over the wounds on my leg. The cold gel immediately penetrated my broken skin, immediately mending it, but in the process sent icy chills on my bone.I had always been very weak to cold. I closed my eyes and took sharp breaths every time I felt the biting coldness that seeped through my inner body.Thankfully, after a few minutes, he was done with his treatment.Lewis thoughtfully looked at my legs and gen
LEWISIt was pitched black, and silence would have completely enveloped the place if not for the water dropping at the nearby stalactites."There's nothing in here," the figure beside me said. His voice that echoed inside seemed to disturb the tranquility of the cave. I could not help but furrow my brows.'It would have been better if I went here alone,' I thought before walking away from the noisy person."Hey! Wait for me!" Halen, the prince of the werewolf, immediately exclaimed. "You know you can't leave me in here!" He chuckled as he jogged behind me.“Is that a dare, your highness?” I asked him in a nonchalant voice. The prince of the werewolf who was greatly feared by everyone put up an exaggerated surprise face as if he was shocked to his senses. His face looked very comical... like a comedic cartoon character.I ignored him and continued to walk towards a smal
LEWIS'He-hello?' She quietly said. The tone of her voice was filled with uncertainty, and in our connection, I could feel the various emotions that she was feeling in her heart. She was feeling troubled and nervous. But aside from that, she was excited and was looking forward to hearing my voice.I blinked once as I realized what was going on. Adelia did not know how to mind link and thus she unintentionally spilled all her thoughts and emotions to me.'And here I was just wondering whether she was only pretending to be expressive. It really turns out that her colorful expressions are real... and her face merely shows what she thinks and feels inside,' I closed my eyes in contemplation. One could use their words and actions to deceive another. This was possible, as anyone could easily control the words that they could say and the actions that they would do.But that was not the c
ADELIA"Did you finish talking to him?" I heard a beautiful voice and looked up to see that the beautiful lady was still standing in front of me. The only difference was that her sparkling eyes were twinkling even more."Ah... yes..." I told her. Even though she was a bit intrusive, I did not feel uncomfortable towards her. On the contrary, she was making me feel relaxed and at ease. And add to the fact that an enemy would never be able to enter Lewis' house, I was sure that the friendly lady was not someone dangerous. Thus, I smiled at her and shyly added, "He invited me for breakfast."The lady stared at me without any reaction for a few seconds before I saw her hands reaching towards my face. Then, I felt her fingers gently pinching my cheeks before she said, "Where did Alpha Lewis find you? Do you have a brother or a sister? If you have, please tell me where I could find them so I can bring
ADELIAHis warm and rough palm enveloped my small hand, and my heart skipped a beat."Let's eat some breakfast?" Lewis asked with an affectionate tone before he gently pulled me towards the table. I obediently followed him. But deep inside, my mind was filled with a single thought that keeps on repeating in my brain.'He... is holding my hand...''He is gently holding my hand... we look like a real couple...''Goddess...''No. I need to calm down. Lewis is only casually holding my hand before I stood there like an idiot and won't come to the table,' I thought. 'He's not holding it like a lover. See? This is just a normal gesture. I shouldn't be ahead of myself,' I convinced myself.Although Lewis already marked me, it was clear to me that we only had a contractual relationship. He would protect me and help me achieve my goal while I would be giving him the information about
LEWISFor the past centuries, there were countless rumors surrounding the Pack of Talascar. Many werewolves were saying that my pack was the strongest pack in the whole world. Others talked about how secured our territory was and that the security here was even better than that of the royal palace. These rumors are correct.Indeed, the territory of the Pack of Talascar is the most secured place in all the realm and for the past century, no one has breached this security yet.‘Until today,’ I thought. My brows could not help but to furrow as I sensed the intruder who was moving fast towards our direction. And in just a few seconds, he finally arrived at the garden.Lia, who already sensed that someone was approaching us, had her eyes widened upon seeing the intruder’s figure.I stayed still on my chair, waiting for how Lia would react upon seeing
LEWISI blinked and immediately cancelled my aura when I heard Lia’s scream. I was about to move to catch Lia who was falling but saw her brother who just snapped out of my aura leaning forward and catching her in time. I narrowed my eyes but nevertheless did not stop him. Instead, I observed Lia to check what happened.Lia, who was already in her brother’s arms, was profusely blushing as she stared at the flat ground under her feet.‘Oh my gosh,’ I heard her think. ‘I tripped on flat ground again…’‘I must be the only werewolf to accomplish this…’‘Even in front of Lewis and his pack…’ she thought before covering her face with her hands. The feeling of embarrassment overwhelmed her inside.I blinked and the tips of my fingers slightly twitched.‘What… is with this cuteness,’
LEWISThe king of the werewolves was the most exalted werewolf in the entire land. All werewolves were bound to respect and obey all his orders. That was the golden rule in the werewolf realm. The king’s words are the law of the land and everyone must follow it. It sounded like a simple rule. But it was more complicated than that.In fact, a werewolf could only give his loyalty to one being – and that was not towards the king. A werewolf could only be loyal to his alpha. The master of his life.So how did the king manage to have the authority to reign over the entire realm? Simple. Because the king of the werewolves was in fact, the alpha of all the alpha. He ruled over the alphas while the alphas, following his orders, ruled over their subjects.Since a werewolf could be loyal to his alpha, he could never serve another alpha. Because serving another alpha was an act of betra
