Chapter 13- Meeting Desmond

As I stepped into the office, I came face to face with Enzo. He seemed to hold a normal expression on his face. I stood at the door, not knowing what to do. The last time we saw each other, he had sworn to kill me.

“Have a seat, Camilla,” he said. I moved and took a seat in a chair that faced him. I looked around the office and not much had changed, except for pictures that had been added to the wall. Baby pictures which were pictures of my son.

We sat quietly, and I could feel tension fill the air. I avoided looking at him as I stared at my fingers.

“Camilla,” he called out, and I looked at him. I could see him looking at me, not out of anger or anything else.

“I know that things ended in an ugly way between us. I was young and reckless , and I made a lot of mistakes. I treated you the worst ways possible, and I accused you of killing my father,” he began.
