Maximus Walter Skyler P.O.V

The earpiece I was wearing was no longer working. Their voices were SO choppy and they also couldn't hear me. I have no choice but to move alone but still, I can hear my brother and smell them even if they're far away. I suddenly stopped and hide in the wall when I noticed that someone was passing by in the hallways. I'm here on the second floor and I planned to get to the fourth floor where Freeda was.

When I saw that those guys with uniforms passed by, I continued walking in the hallway to reach the stairs. The elevator was temporarily out of service here on the left wing of the building so I need to walk on the stairs. As I walk upstairs, I could hear a voice of a woman who was screaming my name. I stiffened in my stance as I realized that someone is already in danger. I need to save her soon as possible.

He glared at the vampire but he felt no fear. "Why did you do that?" Maximus asked angrily and he suddenly attacked the vampire. He lay on the ground as the werewolf jumped on his chest. "What right have you to betray me! I have told you to spy on her not to reveal anything about her!" Maximus was furious. "I didn't do that to hurt any of you, that's just the best way to fix everything," Klyde replied. Max was disgusted with the answer he heard.
