STEPHAN POV

“I still think this is a bad idea,” Claude said, frowning deeply.

I stared at him, my gaze hard and no-nonsense, “I don’t remember asking your opinion on the matter.”

He stared at me, his gaze equally hard but he did not retort, he reached for a bottle of bourbon.

“C’mon, put that away…” I snapped, “Not today.”

He glared at me and then looked away and leaned back in his chair, “You get to do whatever the fuck you want and still tell me what to do?”

I stared at him, “Yes.”

A low groan escaped his throat.

I ignored his silent protestation, “I need you to be on your best behavior today.”

“When am I never?”

“Claude….”

“C’mon, after what she did?”

“I said I didn’t want to hear it,” my voice went down a pitch.

“Yes, alpha,” he grumbled.
