The next morning.  I came down for breakfast. Last night I couldn't speak with Avanti concerning the lipstick stain I found on Ayan's cheeks.

Even though we couldn't speak, I'm not sure Avanti will ever tell me the truth.

Something is cooking between them?

Karan was sitting at the dinner table. Avanti walks out of the kitchen. I saw her walking towards the table holding a huge tray in her hand.

She looked exhausted. Has she been cooking since morning?.

What happened to the maid.

When I tried to inquire. Ayan beat me to it again.

He pulled Avanti away from the table and reprimanded her for cooking for a man like Karan.

Karan on tht another hand couldn't care. He picked up his plates and napkins, waiting to be served.

Ayan couldn't contain Karan's attitude anymore. He pulled Avanti behind and dragged her away.

Pinky walks in. She sees what was happening, however, didn't care to say anything.

I went to meet Avanti in Ayan's room.

They were both talking when I walked in.

"Hey, tell me, what were you thinking?"

I walked ahead.

Avanti takes a look back and sees me standing.

She begged me not to speak. And dashed off to lock the door.

Pinky passed the bedroom. Right after Avanti locked the door.

She was acting strange. Ayan and I shared a look.

"Tell me, what happened?".

Ayan goes ahead to ask.

I took wanted to know. Avanti ordered us to speak softly, she went ahead in even locking the windows.

She later turns back and spoke to us.

Does Avanti believe that Karan knows where Abhishek is?....

Of cause he knows, because of him being here and without being invited, that should be the number one reason.

Take out Abhishek. Send Mrs. Anuradha to the mental asylum and now torment the entire family.

I'll have to bring Karan's sister home.

He still has this idea that his sister is no more...

Avanti and I left our bedroom.

I freshened up to take a rest, however, it seems the issue going on at home made me not sleepy.

I rode down to the kitchen. I wanted to get a glass of warm milk, since the maids weren't awake by this time, warming up the milk myself shouldn't be hard.

While I was doing that. I heard Pinky walk in passed the kitchen, I looked through the window. She was talking to someone on the phone.

Immediately, I left everything doing in there and went after her.

Pinky went outside to still talk on the phone.

"Have told you! Don't call me, what's happening?".

She screamed through the phone.

I listened, hiding behind the door.

Pinky expressed her disgust at the person at the other end of the call.

She even went further by telling the person not to call her anymore.

..

Avanti saw me. And tiptoed her away over.

"Javelin, why are you here?".

She whispered, almost hitting down a vase next to her.

Luckily, I pulled her away pointing out where pinky was.

She looked, unable to understand what was going on.

Pinky was just turning when I tried to tell Avanti what was happening

I grabbed her hand and we both ran back to the kitchen.

We waited until Pinky left, we can't have her listen to our conversation, can we?

I told Avanti everything that I heard.

It seems Pinky had someone held captive.

What if it's Abhishek?   Avanti implied.

She might be right. Either way, we will have to keep a close watch on Pinky and Karan.

They both work together and will amount to anything to get whatever they came here for.

....

Avanti went back to her room. I came after fixing up warm milk to go.

The next morning. Avanti knocked on my door, I heard her calling out to me from my sleep.

She walks in telling them that Pinky wasn't at home.

She might have gone out to see the person whom she's keeping hostage.

Ayan walks into the room.

"Is everything okay?" He looks at us.

Avanti ran ahead. She explained what happened. Ayan suggested that we take everything slowly.

He even had me swear not to follow either Pinky or Karan without informing him.

Do I have to make that promise?....

Avanti however emotionally blackmailed me too. She says, if everything would ever happen to me, she would never forgive herself.

...

I do understand how much she cares about me, nonetheless, letting Karan and Pinky win in their ploy is like making them think we are fools.

"Fine, I promise,"

I repeated. Gently touching Avanti's shoulder.

She grabbed my hands and we both hugged.

While we did, across Ayan's shoulders, I saw Karan leave.

He seems in a hurry.

There's no way I can leave here without Ayan and Avanti asking for my whereabouts.

I'll have to find a way.

One of the maids walks in.

"Ma'am, you're needed in the kitchen,".

She announced.

That's the chance I need.

Avanti allowed me to go down, while I left, Ayan was looking at her with so much love in his eyes

Maybe. I ain't seeing that correctly.

I went to the kitchen, the maid took out a dish asking which one I would want to be served tonight.

She handed me the list, and while I thought of the perfect dish, I turned back and from the kitchen window, Karan was set to drive out.

There was no time to waste. I left her to make the final decision. After all, it's just a dish.

Indian can be so weird sometimes.

What. I may not be one however I'm married to an Indian man, who's missing.

Abhishek, where are you?

Karan left the mansion in his car, I went after him stopping a cab on the way

I asked the man to follow Karan's car, and he nodded and drove off.

A few hours later. We came to the mental asylum Mom was in.

Why's he here?

I  sneaked in without him seeing me.

There was a scarf on the way, I picked it up and tied it around my head.

Karan went to the doctor in charge of Mom's condition, I couldn't go in, however, I chose to listen standing outside the door.
