Chapter Thirty-Eight

The following day came and the whole volunteering was finally rounded up.

After spending most of their night together before Alex and Seb returned to their tents at daybreak, they both woke up with smiles on their faces, both quickly finishing what they had to do for the final day of volunteering and then rushing to meet each other again

“Hey.”

“Hey.”

“Did you sleep well?”

Seb smirked at the question. “You bet I did. How about you?”

“Well I rested my head on the most comfy shoulders the whole night,” Alex replied. “So yes, I did.”

“I wonder whose shoulders were so lucky to have your head rested on it. That dude is one really lucky one I tell you.”

“He definitely is.”

Before Seb could utter another one in reply, his phone vibrated in his pocket, interrupting him. He took it out and read a message from Sophia.

“Sophia’s here,” he called out to Alex. “You know she’ll be driving us back, right? Let’s go.”
