Chapter four

Mike's p.o.v

A knock on the door informed me that Raph was around already. I ran to the door immediately. I didn't wait for the maids to usher him in.

' Come in man. You're late.' I accused him impatiently.

' Really? I'm late? Dude, do you know what the time says? I should still be in bed now. What's with the sudden call?' Raph replied.

' C'mon man, be caring. Didn't you notice I didn't sleep throughout the night?'

' Whoa! What happened? Did you have a nightmare? You Should have hugged your pillow tightly.' Raphael replied laughing hard.

   ' This isn't funny.'

' Okay. Okay. What's the problem?'

I took a deep breath before replying.

' Here's what happened...I went to get a bottle of red wine yesterday. Then, unfortunately, I bumped into this pretty damsel and my wine poured on her. She was very annoyed. I apologized though but she just left and drove off.' I explained and paused.

' So, you already apologized. It's left to her to accept the apology or not. You don't have to feel guilty.' Raph replied.

' Raph, that's not the problem. The problem now is that I can't get her out of my head. I can't get her off my mind. I've been thinking about her since yesterday. Raph, I couldn't even sleep. Raphael, do something.' I said in frustration. What was wrong with me?

' Raph, say something...' I added impatiently when Ralph wasn't saying anything.

' Mike, you do not love this girl. It's the usual infatuation you have for other girls.'

' Pttf! Haven't you heard of what they call love at first sight?' I argued stubbornly.

' Trust me, you'd forget her soon. That aside, what can I eat? I'm famished.'

' Really? I told you I have a problem and you're telling me you're famished?'

' Mike, rest. You'd  forget her soon.'

' Just get lost.' I yelled and stormed out still hearing Raph's laughter.

Idunnu's p.o.v

It was a Saturday. Normally, I do not go to work on Saturdays. I'm to stay at home thinking of the style for the coming week. However, I just couldn't stay at home. Since I left work quite early the previous day, I decided to go to work. At least,  could think of the style while In the comfort of my office.

I hurriedly had my bath and put on an Ankara crop top together with black jean trousers. Putting on my hair wig,  I wore a little bit of makeup and last the house.

Right from the parking lot where I was, I was hearing voices; loud voices from inside. I really hated noises and trouble so I hurriedly locked my car door and went in.

' You have to change this. Thus wasn't what I ordered.' I heard a woman say.

' I'm sorry ma. We do not change wears for our customers. We never make mistakes in our delivery. I'm hundred percent sure that's what you ordered.' Blessing replied trying to convince the lady.

' And what's going on here?' I said interfering.

' Thank God you're here ma. She just came this morning arguing that this wasn't the color she ordered for. Meanwhile, when checking her record, it's clearly shown that she ordered the blue color. Besides, when I checked the clothe we posted online also, it was the blue color and it was clearly stated that that's the only color available. But then she's claiming she ordered the pink color which isn't even available.' Blessing explained after sighing in relief.

' Ma'am, I'm the boss here. What exactly is the matter?' I asked trying as much as possible to sound professional. The woman was disgusting me seriously. I mean...Who makes a scene at a fashion house because of the color of a dress. It was so absurd.

' Your useless secretary is nothing but a liar. When I placed an order, it was specifically written that I wanted the pink color of the dress.'

' No swear words, please. I'm trying my best to solve the issue on ground.' I said slightly showing my anger.

' You heard her. It was clearly written that blue is the only color available.' I added.

' So what do you mean? That I'm a liar? That I do not know what I'm saying? What exactly are you insinuating? You people have no respect for your customers.' She yelled at the top of her lungs.

' I said nothing like that. Meanwhile, please Madam, quit making a scene here and leave please.'

' Not until that dress is either changed or my money refunded.'

' That's against our policy. Now, please leave. I do not want to call the security on you.' I said calmly.

' I promise you. You'd regret this. I'm going to show you the stuff I'm made of when you do not have these people protecting you.' She blurted and began walking towards the exit.

' I'd make sure I teach you a lesson.' She added before leaving finally. I cared less about her empty threats. She was nothing but a psycho.

' Phew! That was a close one.' I said breathing out.

' I'm really sorry for stressing you out ma.' Blessing said staring at the ground probably embarrassed.

' It's okay Blessing. Customers like that are inevitable Get back to work.' I replied patting her shoulders before leaving for my office.

After thinking and cracking my brain, after creating different designs and finally picking the designer for the next week, my stomach rumbled loudly as a sign of hunger. I chuckled softly before picking my purse.

' Time for lunch.' I said to myself.

I decided to go to the restaurant I went to the previous day. Their food was really good. After thinking about the annoying jerk that ruined my dress yesterday, I began to have second thoughts. My stomach growled loudly again alerting me of how hungry I was. I shrugged off the thought of the annoying jerk. He's not going to be there.

I picked up my phone to call Stacey if she'd be able to join me for lunch today.

   ' Hello, babe...'

   ' I.D, what's up?'

   ' I'm fine Stacey. Lunch?'

' Whoa...To bad. My annoying boss gave me extra work to do. I wouldn't be able to come with you. I'd just order my lunch.' Stacey whispered so her boss wouldn't hear her. I chuckled softly.

' Okay then. You'd come to my place then?'

' Alright. We have a deal.'

' Good. See you in the evening.' I said and cut the call.

' Blessing, I'd be back soon. I want to go out for lunch.' I said to Blessing.

   ' Okay ma.'

The drive to the restaurant was pretty long. The traffic jam was heavy and my stomach kept protesting. I was beginning to think going to the restaurant was a bad idea. I should have just ordered my lunch.

After what seemed like ages, I finally got there.

' Phew! Thank Goodness. Stomach, we've arrived.' I said, laughing at my childish action.

   ' Waiter please...'

   ' Your order ma'am.'

' Alright. Give me a plate of white rice. I'd prefer fish with it. Oh...and please, I don't like it when my stew isn't enough. Make sure the stew is just enough for the rice. Also, get me fruit juice. Orange flavor to be precise.'

' I'd be back with your order soon ma'am.' The waiter said and left.

' Just make it snappy.' I muttered to myself.
