Chapter 35

Xavier stood up, and stride after her. He was not sure if she's scared of the dark, or perhaps something was wrong with her.

He waited in her office, until she returned and met him on her waiting couch. He stood up with his hands in his pocket, striding closer to her.

"What was that all about? Do you still feel sick?" He asked, and lifted his hands to feel her temperature, but she moved before his hands could get to her face.

"I'm okay. I got scared when the lights went off, that was all. I'm not sick." She responded, shivering in fear.

"Why are you shivering? You said you're not sick, why are your hands shivering?" He asked, and waited for her reply, but she never uttered a word.

He felt soft hands wrap around his waist. The cologne was enough for him to know who the figure was.

"We're in an office environment, let go of me." He said, calmly, but she didn't budge.

He tried to unwrap her hands from his waist, but she held him tightly, with her head resting on his back.
