"What's your plan now?" I asked Royal as I walked with him to his car.
"I want to marry you," he said without a doubt.
My heart skipped a beat. Even a single word could take my breath away. He said it like he would never regret anything. He said it like he was so certain of his plan.
"But..." I trailed off.
The thought of my parents knowing what was between me and Royal gave me chills to the bone. I still wondered what would be their reaction if they would find out my engagement with fratello.
"I know," he smiled reassuringly. "I can wait years again, Alpha, if it means having you for a lifetime."
"What if they will find out about us and they will not agree with this?" I asked worriedly. "I don't want to lose you again, Royal. I can't afford another loss."
"I don't want it as much as what you feel about it, Alpha. But don't worry. We will take things slow. We're not gonna rush this matter."
"But can you really wait?"
