The Walk Away

“I ban you from entering Lycan territory.”

The words echoed through the room, nobody moved and nobody spoke.

Draven stood frozen and his eyes remained on Nyra, not Cassian, not the guards, only Nyra.

As if he was still hoping she would stop this, still hoping she would say something, anything but she didn’t.

She just stood there silently and tears filled her eyes.

Draven noticed and somehow that made everything worse because he knew those tears were not for him anymore
