Chapter 4 Handle With Care

Is he a chameleon?

That was the thought that flashed through Audrey's mind, when she saw how the man in front of her reacted.

He acted like he was happy when he first saw Audrey sitting on the floor, but when their eyes met, his body language slowly changed.

It was as if he saw Audrey like a piece of waste paper that had to be crumpled as hard as possible until it became a ball of paper and was ready to be thrown into the trash.

Audrey felt the hairs on the back of her neck bristle. The cold aura from the man made her feel frozen. His green eyes look like a vicious jungle cat.

"You guys get out!" said the man in a sharp tone. His index finger pointed at the door.

Audrey was sure that his words were not directed at her even though those sharp and deep eyes stared at her without blinking.

The two men who kidnapped Audrey, with their fierce looks and large bodies, looked shrunken and they hurriedly left the room which was beautiful, but scary for Audrey.

The second the door closed, Audrey left herself to fate. She would probably die in a few moments, in a strange place, at the hands of a man she didn't know, one way or another.

Liam looked at the woman who sat slumped like a wet rag in front of him with a deep frown. Why did the woman's scent make his blood boil so much and his head dizzy from the desire that was hard to contain, so that his pants became so tight?

Inside, Kinn was anxious, but Liam had to restrain his wolf from pressing to show itself because the woman could die of shock from a heart attack when she saw a wolf suddenly standing in front of her.

[No, Kinn. This time, leave everything to me and just stay in your place]-said Liam.

Kinn growled angrily, but gave up and disappeared again.

"Sir," Audrey called softly.

Liam looked at her without answering. Audrey could see those green eyes glinting like razors in the light of the lamp.

"Your men arrested the wrong person," continued Audrey in a trembling voice. "T-they were lied to, because I haven't even signed any papers. I don't know anything, sir."

Liam saw the woman's white skin blush, tinged with a beautiful pink color and her caramel colored eyes trembled. She tried hard to gather her courage, but failed to hide the tremor in her voice. It makes her look cute.

Liam crouched in front of the woman and lifted her chin with his index finger, but the woman slapped his hand away.

Liam chuckled. "What was your name just now?" Liam asked casually.

"Audrey," Audrey answered curtly.

"Do you know what I think about my men being caught by mistake?" Liam asked calmly.

He changed position, sitting cross-legged in front of Audrey, who now looked confused at his question. Audrey shrugged.

"I DON'T CARE!" Liam said lightly. "I already paid you and--"

"But you gave the money to the wrong person and it had nothing to do with me! He sold me out!" Audrey interrupted irritably.

Liam's hand reached out and gripped Audrey's chin hard. "IT'S NONE OF MY BUSINESS! I paid him for the work you had to do for me. Whatever problem you have with him, I don't care. You have to be responsible for what I paid."

Audrey groaned in a choked voice. Her chin seemed like it would be crushed in the sadistic man's grip.

Liam grinned and let go of his hand on Audrey. Gasping, Audrey tried to calm her racing heartbeat.

"I'll pay you back, sir, whatever you paid the ba*tard who sold me."

Audrey's eyes filled with tears, not only because she was afraid of the man in front of her, but also because she felt hurt towards the ba*tard named Sandford, her former lover.

"Huh? You're going to give me my money back?" Liam asked in a sarcastic tone.

"Y-yes, sir, I will pay you back, but I need time. My grandmother is sick and is in the hospital so she can have surgery immediately. I need money to save her now."

Liam looked straight into Audrey's eyes and found that she was telling the truth.

He had the ability to read whether someone was lying or being honest with him and he had never seen eyes so clear as Audrey's.

Liam smirked. "Okay, if you're so sure you can return my money. Seeing your confidence, I think you do have money, right?"

Audrey swallowed the bitter saliva in her throat and looked down then shook her head weakly.

"Oh?" Liam exclaimed in a mocking tone. "You don't have any money?"

"N-no."

Liam laughed amusedly and reached out to stroke Audrey's messy hair. "Then, I will help you. I am a generous person. I will not ask you to return the money I paid, instead, I will even help you pay your grandmother's medical bills."

Audrey's eyes shone with hope when she heard Liam's words.

"Y-you'll help me? Really?"

Liam chuckled. "Of course. I have a lot of money and I don't think your needs won't cost a thousandth of the wealth I have. Let's just say I bought candy."

Audrey felt annoyed seeing Liam's arrogant attitude and hearing his dismissive remarks.

"And what should I do for your help?" Audrey asked in a suspicious tone.

Liam quirked an eyebrow. "Have a baby for me and I will immediately help you pay all your bills, I can even give you a bonus."

Audrey gasped. She regretted asking. How could she expect the kidnapper to be her savior? !

"NO!" Audrey said loudly. "I'm not a whore you pay and then use as you please. I'm not a toy too!"

"You refuse my help? Are you sure?" Liam wasn’t mad but said teasingly.

"Uh-uh, I'm not going to be your baby-making machine!" Audrey gritted her teeth.

"Well, it seems like you and your adoptive mom don't have a great relationship and you're okay with watching her die without treatment," Liam replied sarcastically.

Audrey's eyes widened in shock. How did he know about her personal life? Who was this guy? "Sir, you're loaded, there must be plenty of women out there willing to carry your babies, just not me," Audrey pleaded.

"But those women don't owe me money," Liam retorted, not willing to let go of the woman who had gotten his di*k  all hot and bothered. She could be his only cure.

Audrey's throat felt tight. She knew the price tag on the contract had to be astronomical, but she couldn't just have a baby with a complete stranger. "I'll pay you back once I'm out of here!" Audrey still wants to make a final struggle.

Liam didn't say anything, but his intense gaze was fixed on her face. It felt like all the air had been sucked out of the room. Even without words, she felt the immense pressure he was exerting on her.

She pinched her palms hard to keep herself from fainting. Just when she thought everything was hopeless, Liam's voice broke the deafening silence. "Alright, I'll let you go. You won't be held responsible for anything."

Audrey stared at him in disbelief. Why was he letting her off so easily? As she was trying to process this, her phone rang.

Audrey quickly took the flat object and looked at the caller's ID. Audrey's hands trembled when she received the call.

Liam sat up straight in front of her with his arms folded across his chest and watched Audrey's expression change as she listened to the person who contacted her speak.

"Y-yes, doctor, I'll immediately prepare the money."

When Andrey hung up the phone, she felt like her head was being crushed against her chest and she couldn't breathe. The doctor said her adoptive mother needed to go into the OR or she'd die on the spot.

Andrey looked over at the laid-back man on the couch, knowing she had no other choice. She couldn't just let her adoptive mother die. She put down the phone and started unbuttoning her shirt.

She walked towards the man on the couch, butt-n*ked - "I agree to your terms, so long as you pay the hospital bill ASAP."

After saying that, Andrey bit the man's lip and Liam smelled the scents of cinnamon, citrus, and mint, making his wolf restless!

"Liam, let's get inside her together! I know she'll taste great!" Liam chuckled, he thought the same, butBut as a powerful alpha, forcing women is not his principle.

He tried to push her away, but he soon realized the woman on top of him was incredibly aroused, grinding her breasts against his chest!

Andrey didn't bother answering. The feeling between her legs was unbearable. She mounted the man on the sofa, feeling his hardness fill her up, making her moan with pleasure.
