CHAPTER 4

Fisya tightly hugged Adnan's body, who was still asleep in his arms. The boy cried so hysterically that he finally felt tired and fell asleep in his arms. He placed the boy's body on his big bed, slowly so that he wouldn't wake up and cry again like before.

It wasn't easy for him, especially when he was about to let go of Adnan's arm that was tightly gripping his hand. But thanks to his struggles, he finally managed to escape from Adnan and could breathe a sigh of relief.

"You must be tired, Miss," said a waiter who served as Adnan's personal servant as well as his nanny.

"It's okay, Miss—"

“Just call me Marie, Miss. You don't have to call me that polite, or Master Regan will scold me for being so rude."

Hearing that, Fisya could only sigh heavily. "Okay, I understand how stressful it is for you to work under the leadership of a man like him," he said.

Unbeknownst to him, Regan had not moved from the doorway, the man had been waiting for him for a long time. When he heard Fisya's words, of course, he became a little irritated. He walked over to the woman, and suddenly Fisya was very surprised by it.

"Explain to me what kind of man I am, huh?"

The woman smiled bitterly, she became embarrassed because she had spoken without looking at the situation around her. “A-ah… apparently you are here—”

"Explain to me, huh?"

"S-we'd better talk outside, Adnan will wake up later," he whispered, smiling broadly, showing a row of clean white teeth.

"Where?"

"Anywhere but here, poor Adnan."

Hearing that, an evil idea popped up in his mind. "Okay, then you have to come with me."

"Where–akkh!" she screamed when Regan suddenly immediately carried her. "You-"

"Ssshhh! You will wake Adnan up."

Fisya covered her mouth with both hands. The man smiled with satisfaction seeing the woman's obedience. He then took her away to teach Fisya a lesson, which was sometimes annoying.

At first Fisya didn't want to care, but when she saw Regan take her to a room she believed was the man's room, the woman immediately rebelled and tried to get out of her arms.

"Let go of me, you bastard!"

"Why, why? You said we could talk anywhere other than Adnan's room."

"But not in your room, you pervert!"

“This will also be your room, you idiot! After all, who are you calling a pervert?!”

Fisya glared sharply. "Y-we're in the same room—"

"Remember the deal?"

She almost forgot, but didn't think it would be so soon to have to deal with an arrogant and arrogant man like Regan, let alone have to share a room. "Tonight I slept with Adnan—"

"Should not."

"But-"

"You can't," he insisted, without giving him tolerance.

The thought of having to sleep with a stranger made him a little worried. In reflex, he immediately pushed the man's body away and covered his chest with both hands. Seeing that, Regan really felt exasperated to see the woman scared. Moreover, she, for no reason, seemed to be covering her upper body like that.

"What are you hiding, huh?"

"Of course my body—"

"It's useless, there's nothing to see either," he sneered.

Fisya glared sharply. “Then, I'll go—” His words were cut off when Regan pulled him onto the bed and cradled him.” “W-what do you want to do?!”

"I was trying to tell you the true meaning of pervert," he teased.

“I-I'm sorry… I was just talking earlier—”

"Shut up." The man immediately hugged the woman's body, curious about the warmth of the woman's embrace that made her son—Adnan fall asleep in his arms. However, because the frightened Fisya continued to rebel, Regan was forced to tighten his arms even more and linked his legs to the woman's body.

Feeling that her rebellion was in vain, Fisya finally survived by freezing in the man's arms. Until finally he felt sleepy because of the silence that enveloped the room and the soft snoring sound from Regan that was able to hypnotize him.

***

The next day, after waking up and taking a shower, Fisya rushed to the kitchen to make breakfast for Adnan. The girl opened the refrigerator. She was so amazed by the situation inside, all the food ingredients were in this refrigerator. He seemed to think for a moment about what kind of food was suitable for him to make for breakfast--he thought. Fisya smiled when the idea of making a sandwich popped into her head. According to him, making sandwiches is so easy, practical and delicious, all children love it.

Starting today, Fisya recognizes herself as Adnan's mother. She will be motherly and live her days being the mother of Regan Adzura's child. Yes ... even then she also has to pretend to be a wife figure in front of Adnan in order to give the illusion of a real whole family.

He didn't hate the role of a mother, but he really hated the role of a wife, especially the wife of Regan Adzura, who was famous for being arrogant. Never mind experiencing it, just imagining it he didn't want to. But, since he really needed this role to fix his bad luck, of course he had no other choice. After all, they had promised not to fall in love and make love even though they had to play a husband and wife in front of Adnan.

He took bread, vegetables, and some other ingredients. Meanwhile, Adnan and his father,Regan, were waiting for him in the dining room. Several bodyguards, monitoring him from a distance. Of course, this was Regan's order. The man didn't want it when the new girl in his house gave poison to his food.

Fisya had just realized, in a kitchen this big, there was no one cook, only a few servants who were now watching her and waiting for orders from her. Couldn't that man afford a chef? But it's impossible, considering that the man is a CEO at a well-known company—he thought.

"Fisya! Adnan and I are hungry, you took so long!” Regan shouted from the dining room. Adnan, who heard the scream, was stunned and turned to his father.

"Dad, it's no good yelling at mom," he snapped.

Hearing that defense, Regan could only sigh heavily. "Okay, Dad, I understand."

"Next time, don't be like that."

"Okay, Dad, I understand."

Seeing that, Fisya couldn't help but laugh because this was her first time seeing Regan, who was so obedient, and she thought it was very sweet. Not long after, he immediately went to the dining table with the results of his cooking. He was sure that his sandwich was very good. However, the girl did not taste it one bit.

"Enjoy..." he said with a big smile.

Adnan, who heard that, shouted with joy. As for Regan, he doubted the girl's cooking. "Hurray!"

"Who wants to taste Mom's Sandwich for the first time?" Fisya asked both of them, he was so enthusiastic to ask.

"Me, Mom!" shouted the little boy as he approached Fisya who was still in the doorway.

"Adnan!" The man spoke. Can't accept that Adnan will be the first to taste the girl's food. What if Fisya gives the Sandwich rat poison? “L-let the guards taste first.”

"Why?"

“Of course we have to check first—”

"But it's made by Mother, it can't be poisonous."

"Should not." The man turned sharply towards Fisya. “Why aren't you the first to taste the food? Why Adnan?" his voice started to get angry. From the start, Regan did feel that something was wrong with the girl.

“Father, why did you yell at Mom? Mother has gone to great lengths to make us breakfast," said Adnan, in the midst of Fisya's fear.

Why does Regan always accuse him? He actually made these sandwiches for them, never in his mind to poison them. Actually, how much worry they have to suspect everything around them, even food.

"I-I-"

“Oh…, I know. You've put a dangerous drug on this food, haven't you!"

“I didn't give any medicine at all, not even with the intention of it! What's in it for me to give poison to my own child?" Fisya said. The girl did not lose, sharpening her eyes to see Regan.

"Then you eat first."

"Well!" Fisya ate one of her homemade sandwiches voraciously. In fact, Fisya deliberately chewed and bit it with a very large portion. Until, one sandwich was eaten by him. "Already. Look? I'm fine."

"Dad! Now do you believe me? It's okay if you eat it!" Adnan also devoured the sandwich, which he had been holding for a long time. Fisya and Adnan both deliberately ate the sandwich voraciously in front of Regan.

"It's delicious, dad..." Adnan is indeed a smart kid, although a little stubborn too, just like Regan.

Fisya led Adnan to sit on the dining chair, leaving Regan, who was still silent. Until finally, the man was forced to follow Fisya and Adnan sat on a chair.

"How, already believe, right?"

"Yes." Regan glanced at Fisya lazily, he took a sandwich and devoured it too.

The woman and Adnan laughed, watching Regan getting Sandwich with prestige. As it turned out, the girl's sandwich was no less delicious than the one made by a famous chef. "Isn't it delicious?" he asked with a seductive smile.

"It's okay," he said as he devoured it. The girl smiled when Regan devoured her homemade Sandwich, even though the man took the Sandwich for the second time.

"Today, I will go to your office to take care of Adnan and clean the house," Fisya turned to Regan.

“A house this big? Have to clean it yourself? Are you crazy? I can't clean a house this big alone," said Fisya, stopping her sandwich bite.

“Dad, isn't that work supposed to be done by servants? Why mother? Sorry mother."

Fisya, who is defended by Adnan, is getting happier. The boy is very smart, even though he is only 2 years old. "You hear? Our children just feel sorry for me, you as a husband, don't feel sorry for your wife who has to be tired of cleaning a house this big?" Fisya started acting, her face bent as if she looked sad in front of Adnan and Regan. made the man sick of seeing it. "Let the servants do it."

"But the maids in this mansion are all Adnan's personal assistants."

This is too much—Fisya thought.

"Then please send them to take care of the housework, while I will take care of Adnan starting today. Or… you just hire a housekeeper.”

“That Household Assistant… is it Father?” asked Adnan. The boy did not know at all.

“She is a person who works like Bu Nilam.”

“Oh…, Mrs. Nilam. Mrs. Nilam has been home for 3 days, she said there are things that need to be taken care of in her village," said Adnan, sipping a glass of water.

"I see.... Adnan, why isn't he wearing a school uniform?" Fisya warned. The girl's hand pinched Adnan's cheek, exasperated.

“He doesn't go to school, Adnan is homeschooled. Because now there is you, as his mother. Later, please supervise him to study with his teacher. I'm going to the office now. Next time, cooking will be even better. Watch out! If I come home and see my child, what's wrong," he threatened.

Regan stood up and carried a briefcase. The man was ready to go to work. In his heart, he was afraid to leave Adnan with the new girl. In fact, since last night, the man had ordered several bodyguards to monitor Fisya and Adnan at home, when he went to the office.

"Yes. Very fussy. Adnan will not be okay with me," Fisya smiled at Adnan. He embraced and kissed Adnan's forehead several times, since they were sitting close together.

To get closer to Adnan, the man had to pass through the chair Fisya was sitting on. Makes both of them sneeze.

"I goes to the office first, honey. Take good care of yourself. If your mother does anything, immediately call Mr. Dipta, or... another bodyguard, okay?”

"You must believe in Mother, she will not hurt me, Father ...," said Adnan, while glancing at Fisya, who smiled at him.

"Okay, I trust your Mom,"

Regan said forcefully.

Indeed, since Fisya is in this house, Adnan has become more excited and not as gloomy as usual. The child becomes more active in speech and activity. Adnan misses the figure of a mother, and it is Fisya who he thinks is really similar to his mother. Even though the boy had never even seen his mother in person. With just a fleeting photo, which Regan showed Adnan.

Regan kissed Adnan's forehead and cheeks several times, as usual. The boy really enjoyed his father's affectionate kiss. "Father's going first, okay—"

"Dad," Adnan spoke again, stopping Regan from leaving.

"Dad, haven't kissed mom yet," Fisya was silent. He never thought that Adnan would say that. No way, Regan would kiss him too. "You're not fighting, are you?"

“Uhm…” Regan swallowed hard. Even a small request like this was really difficult for him. “We didn't fight…it was just…shy mom.”

"Come on, Dad," Adnan urged, making Regan slowly approach Fisya and kiss Fisya's forehead briefly. The girl was silent for a moment. She didn't expect Regan to kiss her, then she smiled and blushed.

"Fine."

"Well ... that's just true," he said as he returned to eating the sandwich in his hand, while Regan and Fisya couldn't help but feel embarrassed because now their cheeks were turning red.
