LOGINShe tried to catch her breath after she realized Lorenzo had left, she quickly got up from the bed and rushed towards the wardrobe and wore a simple white t-shirt and short blue jean.
Walking over to the large mirror that reeked of royalty she checked the crook of her neck and discovered a mark that looked almost like a crescent moon. She placed her hands over her lips, she was expecting bite marks not a tattoo. "Now's not the time to think about this, I need to escape," She said to herself taking in deep breaths. She knew Lorenzo would return and maybe this time, he would actually finish what he started. Her mind laced with fear as she ran to the windows staring at the green scenery of Lorenzo's castle grounds. In the distance, she could make out the imposing black gates and the hulking figures stationed there, undoubtedly his men. Wait a minute..... Why did this place look so familiar?, she strained her thoughts until it dawned on her, this was no ordinary mansion, this was the Giovanni's Mob. She recognised this place as she usually saw it on TV and newspapers. It was not only the most dangerous criminal organisation in the country but the most powerful as well, holding power in official places and from the rumours she heard the name of the leader although never been publicly seen, was... "Lorenzo, Lorenzo Giovanni!" Her eyes widened in shock, that pycho was the leader of the most infamous mafia mob in the country. Never in her wildest dreams did she imagine him to be someone in his mid to late twenties, there wasn't a soul that didn't know and fear Mr Lorenzo, the tales of his cruelty and criminal acts was a spine-chiller in town. There had been several investigations into his organisations as well as Lorenzo himself, Kidnapping, trafficking, murder, including every evil deed known to man but he had never been convicted, not even once. It had earned him the title 'The untouchable Don' among the folks in town. It made her wonder how her father had gotten into trouble with the mob in the first place, had he borrowed money from Lorenzo and used it all on gambling?, she knew how the mob punished Debtors, Debtors?, no she shook off the ridiculous thought remembering Lorenzo had referred to her father as a traitor. She felt as though the world was spinning trying to piece together the truth, what was her father's connection with the Giovanni Mob, why did Lorenzo personally wanted her father dead? why had Lorenzo spared her life? and most importantly, how the hell did he take a stab to the eye without a single scratch? She was beginning to believe the rumours in town about Lorenzo being the spawn of the devil. It would explain how he was so cold and evil to murder Liam in cold blood, liam was innocent and had nothing to do with it. She wiped a single tear and steeled her heart not to sob, right now she needed to escape. There was no safety in the Lion's Den. "Shit!" Her lips twisted into a grim line realising an escape through the front gate was out of the question, it was the most secured part of Lorenzo's Mansion. Below the castle grounds she saw men and servants tending to the sprawling gardens, she clicked her tongue, realizing how little she actually knew about this place as her mind raced, searching for an escape route. She couldn't spend the night here, not after realising who Lorenzo truly was, perhaps his intentions were to turn her into one of his whores, or even worse sell her off as a slave to the most dangerous and powerful men. She needed to leave, desperately. The memory of his touch, his green eyes boring into her, was a bitter pill to swallow as despite the hate and fear she had for him, there was something she felt for a moment, a magnetic pull. "Snap out of it," she scolded herself aloud, pacing the room, Lorenzo was a fucking narcissist, murderer and a cruel, egotistical maniac. "DAMN IT!" She roared, flipping the bed in a frenzy. Then, a sharp knock at the door startled her, before she could respond the large doors swung open. She recognised him as the psychopathic man from last night, Kai. "Sleeping beauty is awake," He said stepping into the room, "Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would have a human as my Luna," "Luna?," She winced her brows confused by his words, he did seem a little drunk. He ignored her words and took a dramatic bow, "This heartthrob goes by the name Kai Emiliano," "Mr Emiliano..." "Kai," He corrected, "Please call me Kai," "I need to get out here, I'm afraid Mr Lorenzo might kill me," She pleaded, it was a long shot hoping for salvation from this pycho, but desperation fueled her drive at this point. Again he ignored her pleas, "Please follow me, you must be starving," "Please I need your help..." As if on que her stomach rumbled making her cheeks flush in embarrassment. She couldn't deny she was hungry, she hadn't eaten anything and the events of yesterday had left her exhausted. "Follow me," Kai insisted, turning his back Cassie noticed a gun tucked at his back. She hadn't recieved any formal practice on gun use, but she couldn't let this opportunity slide. With quick movement Cassie snatched the gun and pointed it at Kai, her breath plumed in the cold air. Her hands, usually so steady holding a book trembled around the cold unfamiliar weight of the pistol. "Don't come any closer," she stammered, the words catching in her throat "Well look what we have here, a little fucking bird with big feathers." He took another step, his shadow engulfing hers. "You really think you know how to use that thing?" She'd never even held a real gun before today. It felt impossibly heavy clumsy, and utterly terrifying. "I… I will," she whispered, forcing a conviction she didn't feel into her voice She remembered the safety catch, fumbling for it with a shaky thumb. It clicked with a sound that seemed deafening Kai chuckled and crossed his arms,"Go on then, little bird. Pull the trigger." He spread his hands, a gesture of mock surrender that only intensified her panic "Let's see what you've got." "I said, don't come any closer!" she repeated, her voice rising to a near shriek. The gun wavered in her grip and in a blur the world seemed to spin around her as she found herself facing the ceiling with Kai on top. "It is dangerous for children to play with dangerous weapons Luna," He smirked mischievously while Cassie tried to process what the hell had happened, one moment she was standing with a gun to his face and the next, she's on the ground, it was a super human speed. Kai slowly got to his feet and placed the gun back to its holster around his waist "We should get going,"The simple words, "Welcome back, Master Lorenzo," were spoken by an old man who looked very dignified. He wore a beautiful, regal red coat and had just stepped out of an enormous mansion. All around the huge building, which looked more like a castle, there were guards posted at every corner. They stood straight and alert, showing no fear. As Lorenzo smoothly stepped out of his sleek, black sports car, every single guard bowed low to show their respect. He turned and offered his hand to Cassie who has a blush on her cheeks, helping her gracefully step out of the expensive car. As soon as her feet touched the ground, Cassie let out a small gasp. She was completely stunned by the beauty and sheer size of the castle. It was even bigger and more impressive than the last one she had been taken to. A thought immediately popped into her head, Was this another one of Lorenzo Giovanni's castles? His wealth seemed to have no end, so she wouldn't be surprised if he owned this one, too. He
With a speed that was both shocking and unnatural, Vlad, the vampire, moved. His large, powerful hand shot out, wrapping around Leonardo's throat in an instant. Leonardo didn't have the time to gasp, or time to resist. Vlad's immense strength was immediately apparent as he slammed Leonardo's body with brutal force against the rough, metallic bars of the cage wall. The impact sent a jarring, metallic clang echoing through the confined space. Vlad didn't immediately let go. Instead, he leaned closer, his face inches from Leonardo's, his sharp, predatory senses reaching out. He was searching for any flicker of raw terror, a wet sheen in the eyes, a frantic tremor in the breath, that would signal surrender. Yet, the vampire found nothing. Leonardo’s eyes, though wide with the shock of the assault, held a strange, calm defiance. It was the look of a man who had faced his worst fears long ago and was now mentally prepared for the next wave of torment. He knows what's coming, Vlad reali
Slowly Leonardo fluttered his eyelids open, and with it came the sensation of a slight strain of pain on his forehead, wincing his brows in pain and agitation he slowly massaged his forehead trying to soothe the throbbing pain as he tried taking in the sight of his strange surroundings with his hazy blurry eyes. "Where am I?." He muttered to himself knitting his brows. Wincing in pain from his throbbing headache he tried recollecting his last memory before ending up in the place. He remembered being attacked by the vampires led by a werewolf. It didn't make any sense why a werewolf would side with the vampires, and it made even less sense why Vlad would involve himself with a wolf. "Am I dead?" He said to himself, his last memory was fading into the abyss as he sank deeper into the depths of the ocean while he drifted away, to a place far away where all hope was lost, and defeat reigned. Blackness all around him. He darted his eyes around the thick walls trying to perceive his s
"I'm what?" Cassie exclaimed, the two simple words tearing out of her with a ragged gasp. Her eyes, wide like a startled deer's, were filled with a mixture of pure shock and utter disbelief. The news had hit her like a physical blow. Standing across from her, Lorenzo mirrored her stunned expression. Pregnant? The thought ricocheted around his mind. He knew, logically, that this was a possible, even probable, outcome. Over the past few weeks, their passion had often led them to throw caution to the wind, engaging in unprotected sex. While he usually prided himself on his "pull-out game" (a technique he'd always believed to be infallible), he also knew deep down that it wasn't a foolproof method. Even so, he certainly hadn't expected this result, not right now. "Are you certain of it?" Lorenzo managed to ask, his voice a low, almost husky sound. Silvia, the bearer of this life-altering news, simply nodded, a warm, genuine smile gracing her lips. "I... I'll leave you both to talk,"
A chill went through Cassie as she heard Silvia's words. "Leo has been captured." Lorenzo's face was a mask of shock. He had known the vampires would attack, but not so quickly. "Are you sure?" Lorenzo asked, a deep frown on his face. Silvia nodded. "Gianna just called. The castle was attacked. She and Marina escaped, but Leonardo stayed behind." Her words sent a pang of guilt through Cassie. She knew he had stayed on purpose, that he had nothing left to fight for. It was her fault. If she had been kinder, if she had handled things better... Lorenzo let out a heavy sigh, echoing Cassie's thoughts. "That idiot!" "We have to go back for him," Cassie pleaded, knowing there was no way Lorenzo could talk her out of it. Lorenzo looked at her, his eyes full of concern. "Is there anything I can say to make you stay here?" Cassie shook her head. "No. I'm not staying. I'm coming with you." She had to apologize. Maybe she had been too harsh, had pushed him too far. She needed to tell
Lorenzo's eyelids fluttered open, revealing a familiar room. He looked around, recognizing it as his bedroom. He turned his head and saw Cassie on the other side of the bed, putting clothes into a bag. “Leaving after a one-night stand, babe?” he joked, but his words caught in his throat when he saw the look on her face. Her face lit up when she saw he was awake, and all the worry in her eyes melted away. “You’re awake! I was so worried,” she said, rushing to his side, "you fucking scared me!"She had a wide smile on her face that made Lorenzo’s heart feel warm and full. The feeling was bittersweet, though, because he knew their time together was ending soon. This perfect, little fantasy would soon be over. “This little sting?” He gently touched the bandage on his chest. “It’ll take more than a bullet to kill me, darling.” Cassie smiled, and a feeling of pride filled the room as she spoke. “I handled those vampires after you decided to take a nap.” Lorenzo’s eyebrows went up a lit
