Somewhere far away from Giovanni's mansion
"Please I'm telling the truth I don't know where Michaelson is," A middle aged man strapped to a chair screamed aloud having his nails plucked one at a time. His lips were bursted from the constant blows to his face and a vicious slash stretched from his left to right cheek. A liquid was then poured over his skin that had it melting instantaneously making the man scream in agony, his voice echoing in the dark gloomy dungeon, "Please make it stop," He yelled against the excruciating pain of wolfsbane, a white crystal like powdered substance known as the greatest source of pain and weakness to his kind, the Werewolves, and tonight he ensured this horrific fate in the hands of the infamous Rouge werewolf huntress Katarina Romanov. "Do not worry, I'm sure the answers will come to you in due time, little doggy" she said in a seductive Russian accented voice. She had long red hair at waist length and her eyes were grey in color, she was drop dead gorgeous, with a tall build and naturally endowed with seductive womanly curves capable of luring most men into lust and hunger for its touch. The tortured prisoner bared his fang at her, the term 'Dog', was considered the greatest insult among werewolves. "Looks like you still have a little fight left in you," she plunged a knife into his shoulder "Arrgh you fucking bitch! I'll kill you! I'll kill you, do you hear me?, I'll make it nice and slow after I'm done playing and fucking the shit out of yo.... Arrgh FUCK!" He screamed again as Katerina finger blades ruthlessly pierced his thighs with blood gushing out immediately. "I think he is telling the truth, I don't think he knows anything," A voice echoed from the shadows and then a man stepped into the light, he wore a mask that made it impossible to identify him. All she knew was his name, Matteo. He was truly an enigma Katerina thought, she could tell he was a wolf, she could smell that foul wolf stench on him, which by all accounts should make them enemies as she and her benefactor sought to destroy his kind, the werewolves, yet here he was, dining with the enemy. "Don't tell me you are feeling sorry for this pathetic....dog," She grinned trying to catch his unreadable expression "Not at all, it's just, I see no point in trying to get information from him." His faint chuckle annoyed her worse than any insult could, she could never seem to get a rise out of him. Matteo always remained perfectly calm. She wanted nothing more than to rip off his mask and reveal his face, but her benefactor's orders prevented it. Since he was an associate, killing him wasn't an option, at least for now. "Besides I have come into possession of a better information," Matteo crossed his arm, by now the tortured prisoner had passed out from undescribable pain and exhaustion. "And what information would that be?" she raised a brow "Lorenzo Giovanni has a mate." Katarina was stunned by his words, the name leaving a foul taste in her mouth. Her past with the infamous Lorenzo Giovanni, years of pain, betrayal, and heartache, had pushed her down a road of hatred and vengeance. "Who is she?," "Surprisingly a human and fortunately the daughter of the man we search for, Michaelson," Matteo's answer left her dumbfounded, firstly, for someone as powerful, cruel and ruthless as Lorenzo, she never imagined him mated to anyone other than nobility. She laughed out loud, the daughter of the traitor was his mate?, was this some sort of Joke? "Do you think the girl knows where her father is?," she asked Matteo who shrugged his shoulders. "Who knows, but the best chance we have to finding Michaelson is through the girl," "And how certain is your source?," it was simply too much to believe, but if it was, then this was once in a life time opportunity, although her orders were to find Michaelson and obtain the information that could spell the end of the House of Giovannis. She realized for the first time in a while Lorenzo was vulnerable, what better way to exact revenge than to take away the person he loves?, still she wondered if that devil was even capable of love. "I have a spy within Lorenzo's Mansion, you should inform your benefactor of this," He said before leaving. "It seems like you finally ran out of luck, Lorenzo fucking Giovanni," She said with a twisted smile. ******** Back in Lorenzo's castle Three men sat at the dinner table. At the head was Lorenzo Giovanni deeply engrossed in his newspaper. Beside him sat his cousin, Gianna, a beautiful slender brunette with green eyes. Across from her was Leonardo Giovanni, the CEO of LG Networks, the country's largest telecommunications company. Leonardo was Lorenzo's half-brother, born from their father Marcus Giovanni's affair with a woman outside the family's social standing an omega wolf, because of this, Leonardo was an outcast for much of his life. Nonetheless despite the family's disapproval, as a Giovanni son, he still received one of the largest investments from the family empire. "Is it true your Mate is a human Enzo?," Gianna asked Lorenzo who simply nodded, she tried to hide her rage and disappointment, but her balled fist gave it away, Leonardo caught this expression and chuckled lightly "Is something funny Leo?," She snapped at him, staring at him with an eye of disgust, "Not at all little cousin," He waved his hand and took a sip of wine, "from what I heard, the girl is a real beauty, looks like you have competition," Gianna's cheeks flushed red with embarrassment knowing exactly what he meant, her feelings for her cousin Lorenzo was an open book and although her feelings were never reciprocated, she still believed she had a chance, at least until now. "I heard she's a human too," She said in a demeaning tone, "I'm sure Enzo would only keep her as his human whore, isn't that right?," She turned her gaze to Enzo who ignored her question. "Is the meal not to your liking little Gia?," He asked instead making her flush keeping her lustful gaze on his body. Gosh the things she would do to him, she thought lustfully. "Yes it is Enzo," "Then shut up and eat your meal," Her heart sank at his words and she lowered her head in embarrassment while Kai stepped into the dining hall taking a dramatic deep bow. "It is I Kai Emiliano, My lord Lorenzo, for I have returned with your mate, Cassie Micha...." "Shut up and take your seat Kai," Gianna glared at him, she couldn't wait for the day Lorenzo finally decides to dispose of this clown. "Ah no civility," Kai shook his head and gestured to Cassie, "Don't be shy, come in, we don't bite," he said as Cassie hesitantly stepped into their sight. "Huh?, who invited the human whore?," Gianna said standing up enraged as she raised up her hands ready to smack Cassie across the cheek, luckily he caught her hands just in time "What are you doing let go of my hand this instant," she glared dangerously her eyes turning red "Relax little cousin, Lorenzo ordered it," He said with a tired sigh, "Forgive my little cousin for her rude behaviour, I'm Leonardo Giovanni, please take a seat and join us for breakfast," He said a dazzling smile that had Cassie flushing red. With a sudden burst of speed, Lana rushed over to Leonardo, dropping to her knees and gently taking his hands in her own. Her voice was soft and full of urgency. "Please," she begged, her eyes locked on his. "If you're not going to fight, then come with us. We have to escape." Leonardo looked into her eyes. He couldn't deny it Lana was stunning. Her beauty wasn't the kind that was loud or flashy it was simple and elegant reminding him of Cassie's. Someone as innocent as her shouldn't be in the castle when the vampires arrive. He could already hear the crashing sounds of the castle gates giving way, the screams of vampires and werewolves clashing outside. "Leo!" she called out again, her voice pleading. He let out a tired sigh. "Just go, please," he said, dropping his gaze from hers. "There's nothing left for me to live for." Lana's face fell into a frown, and her words caught his attention. "There's plenty to live for," she said firmly. What could she possibly mean? He though
"It has been a month since I last saw Cassie Michaelson. She was the one who stole my heart the first moment I saw her. I still remember it clearly. She and her father saved me from some boys who always picked on me because I was an omega, the lowest of the low. I was born into the family of the most powerful wolves, and they treated me like dirt. Life in the Giovanni family was a nightmare. Before my father confessed his past mistakes and how he secretly loved and wanted me to have a life away from his, he was just as hard on me as he was on my brother, Lorenzo. Sometimes, I wanted to end it all. I wanted to kill myself just to stop the pain. My own family bullied me and treated me like I was trash and I felt like I didn't belong anywhere. But even during those dark times, the only thing that kept me going was the hope of seeing Cassie again. She was the girl who had captured my heart. After my father died, I looked for her everywhere, but I couldn't find her. Still, I never gave
"Lorenzo!" Cassie's scream echoed through the forest as she ran to him, her heart pounding. He had collapsed to his knees, clutching his chest, a pained grimace on his face. Just as she reached him, two figures stepped out of the deep shadows, two female vampires, cloaked in dark hoods putting their guns aside. "Get the girl," the taller one commanded. The other vampire began to stalk toward Cassie, her eyes fixed on her. Ignoring the approaching danger for a moment, Cassie knelt beside Lorenzo, frantically checking for a pulse. A wave of relief washed over her when she felt a faint but steady beat. She saw his wounds begin to slowly close, the cuts and gashes knitting back together. It was a sight she had seen before. Lorenzo had an uncanny ability to survive attacks that would kill any normal person, or even another wolf. A bullet to the heart, a blow to the head, stab to the eye, nothing seemed to be able to kill him. It made her wonder if he was something more than just a w
In a loud voice that echoed through the area, Lorenzo yelled furiously, "Cassie! Cassie, stop! Don't you dare walk away from me!" Cassie immediately stopped walking and turned to face the man. A look of anger was on her face as she said, "Or what? Are you going to keep me locked up in this cabin, just like you did in the castle?" Cassie's words seemed to calm the raging wolf down. He took a deep breath, realizing he had lost his temper too quickly. He knew he needed to control his anger, just like he needed to work on so many other things. "I'm sorry, my love," he said. He walked closer to her and gently tipped her chin up so she would look at him. "I'm sorry for speaking to you that way." Cassie's anger faded, and she felt embarrassed for losing her temper and saying those hurtful things to him. She had promised herself to move on, and she knew there was no reason to say those things to Lorenzo. "I'm sorry too," she said, "I shouldn't have said those words. I didn't mean it
Cassie stomped out of the cabin, her frustration bubbling over. She was on the hunt for Lorenzo, who had disappeared in a flash. She searched everywhere, behind the trees, next to the big rocks but he was nowhere to be found. It didn't take her long to figure out his sneaky trick. He had turned into his wolf form and ran off into the dense forest. With a heavy sigh, Cassie knew what she had to do. She wasn't happy about it. The last time she chased him, he had given her the scare of a lifetime. He'd popped up out of nowhere, right behind her, in his massive wolf form, and her heart had leaped into her throat. Muttering under her breath, she started running, pushing herself deeper and deeper into the quiet woods. "Lorenzo!" she yelled, her voice echoing between the trees. But there was no answer. She stopped for a moment, hands on her hips. "Come on, Lorenzo! Stop being such a drama queen and answer me!" she grumbled. Just as she finished her sentence, she felt a light tap on h
"Silvia? What the hell are you doing here?""Checking up on my favourite cousin." She said and Lorenzo rolled his eyes. Cassie's eyes widened in shock at Lorenzo's words. Silvia was here?, she quickly got to her feet wobbling a bit still overwhelmed by Lorenzo's divine sex. She put on her undies and a large t-shirt. Silvia stood in the doorway, her new, very short haircut framing her pale face. She was dressed all in black, a long, dark coat over a simple black dress. "Am I interrupting something?" she asked, her voice calm. Lorenzo looked at her with an annoyed expression. "Yes, you are," he said flatly. He wasn't even looking at her; his eyes were on Cassie. "Now, can you please go away? We were having a moment. A little more rest and we'd be getting back to it." Cassie's cheeks turned bright red. She thought, Gosh, couldn't he be less rude and shameless for just one day? She quickly walked over to the door to greet Silvia. When she saw her, a big smile spread across her fa
