The sunlight rays gently filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow on the disorganized bed where two figures could be seen lying next to each other, hugging each other, completely naked only that they were covered with a duvet.

The distant hum of city life served as a gentle wake-up call to the lady as she stretched her arms and opened her eyes, the subtle aroma of fresh coffee wafted in from the hotel's breakfast area, enticing her to start the new day.

Krystie stretched out, she was feeling her body hurting, she hadn't given a thought of what could be the reason, she had thought that maybe all this was because of the long day that she had the previous, but all that was only until everything settled in in her mind did she finally rose in a sudden, but her weak legs gave in that she ended up falling back on the bed with a thud.

Krystie was shocked to find a handsome young man sleeping right beside her, his face very calm and pale yet dangerous at a closer glance, she was not sure why his face was a little familiar to her, but she didn't have time to think of where exactly she had seen a similar facial features.

The only thing that she could think of was to run, yes, run for her dear life before he woke up and found her, she just didn't know how to face him as she didn't even know him, they were strangers to each other.

It was only when Krystie had opened the door did the young man on the bed finally stirred from his sleep, and as he saw the disappearing silhouette of her back running out of the room he only smirked to himself.

'Young lady, do you think that you can just run away from me after what happened last night, more so after taking advantage of me!'

He allowed her to run all she wanted as of now because after all no matter how much she would, he could always find her, after all everything in this city was at his exposure that nothing, absolutely nothing can hide from him, let alone a mere lady.

Ronnie, who by then was on his way to the hotel room was surprised when he met a disheveled-looking lady running out of Lucian's room, she was dragging her left foot in the process, it just didn't make any sense to him to think, leave alone see a lady walking right out of Lucian's room.

Ronnie headed right into the room without knocking only to see his brother and boss smiling, this was so shocking to him that he thought maybe he was dreaming, he had to pinch himself and it was only after he felt it hurting did it occurred to him that maybe it was not a dream.

The last time Ronnie had seen Lucian smiling this happily was about six years ago before the inevitable had happened, something that had changed their whole lives.

Ronnie sat down on the sofa uninvited, his mind still trying to process what exactly was happening .

In the many years that he had known Lucian there was never a day that he had ever shown any interest in ladies, and this had made many of the people to think that maybe he was gay save that he had never shown any interest in any man too.

Ronnie wondered in his mind, they just arrived last night and here his brother and boss had already hooked up with a lady, and seeing the condition of the bed, very disorganized and a red patch on the sheets he knew that the two had most probably shared a very rough night.

A mischievous smirk tugged at the corners of Ronnie's lips, particularly after he remembered the way the lady was walking she was not very okay as she was almost limping as she ran out and immediately Ronnie wanted to tease Lucian for a moment, but that was before Lucian cut him short before he could speak.

"Don't even think about Ronnie if you don't want me to throw you out of this room," Lucian spoke sternly as he walked to the washroom to freshen up.

All this while Lucian had a smile on his face, he just could not figure out why exactly he was so happy, normally he would always snap at any lady that would try to approach him yet last night he had allowed the innocent lamb to make a move on him, and the worst of all situations was that he was not disgusted with her at all.

Contrary to it he was very happy instead more so when he thought about how innocent she was before him, and when Lucian had seen the red patch on the sheets it was evidence to him of how pure and untouched the girl was.

Lucian wondered in his heart why would someone in this world hurt such an innocent soul.

Lucian knew he was not wrong with his impression of her, she seemed so pure and innocent that she might not even have the heart to hurt an ant, obviously whoever the jerk that had hurt her was such a fool to not have realized that he had lost something precious.

Lucian could vividly remember last night when the lady had approached him, he was feeling tired and Ronnie had excused himself to pick up a call, they had just arrived in the country after ten years of studying and living abroad.

Lucian was at the entrance of the hotel, he was not ready to deal with his grandmother's nagging him over this or that, so he had decided to spend a night at the hotel instead so that he could deal with her the next day after he had had enough rest. A twenty hours flight was not just something to be taken lightly.

"Hey, please help me, I beg you, just play along and I will pay you well, I promise!" A young lady, shorter than him in height had approached Lucian just at the entrance of the hotel before he had taken a step into the hotel she was acting all pitiful like she was carrying the whole world on her back.

When Lucian saw a mixture of both worried and expectant gazes directed to her from her back, and in the midst, he had seen a familiar figure, his nephew staring at the lady with a smirk he had immediately understood what the lady was up to obviously she was in a mess that needed immediate attention.

Just at the moment when Lucian was still thinking of what to do in such a situation as the young lady had not said her request to him yet, she had placed her hands at the back of his neck, and mumbled a small sorry before she tiptoed and kissed him.
