Prologue: The Beginning

It was cold, starless Midnight. There he was, standing outside of the city at the seaside gazing upon the moon that lit up the night sky. The sound of the waves crashing seemed to calm him down. He was here because his thoughts were disarrayed. He was never the type of person who frets over anything as this man was always described as perfect. Silver-haired and deep blue eyes with a flawless body complexion. Not only that, he is always called the youngest prodigy and admired by those who are around him. Yet here he was, in a state of confusion of what to do because of a certain someone. He sighed and lay down, "Should I do it or not?" he thought to himself.

Flashback

He was soundly asleep inside his room at home after playing video games all day long. His phone suddenly rang, and he picked it up. "Hello?" He answered the caller lazily, sleepiness evident in his voice, and his eyes were half-open. "My dearest nephew, how have you been? An excited voice said in the other line. That voice. It was so familiar, but that's impossible, he thought to himself.

"Dr. Zen Yu, I hope you realized that using other people's voices to call me is considered rude. What you're doing is called phishing, you fool," He said to the caller, obviously pissed and ready to attack him. "AHAHAHAHAHA, you never change, do you, huh? Still angry at this person?" Dr. Zen Yu asked smugly and his voice filled with amusement

"If you want to live to see another day, then I suggest you cut the nonsense and get to the point already. You called my work phone, which means you're here for business. Now say it before I get even more tempted to skip the job and let you lose whatever," He said sharply to Dr. Zen with a glare, obviously not liking the fact that this doctor had the nerve to piss him off every single time. "Now now that's not how you're supposed to treat me, kiddo like it or not, but I'm still your uncle's doctor and one of his most trusted advisor," Dr. Zen said to him amusingly, and he sounded so proud.

"Hah, I don't care whether you're my uncle's advisor or not. In my eyes, you're nothing but a nuisance Dr. Zen. Especially that smug attitude of yours makes me want to punch you even more. So I'll say this for the last freaking time. Cut the crap and say, why did you call me in the middle of the night. I'm not a patient person, Zen, and you already know what it's like whenever I'm angry." He stated sharply that if Zen were in front of him, the poor guy would've passed out because business is business to this guy. Personal feelings don't matter when on the job

Dr. Zen sighs and says, " You are so cold to me. I'm hurt, huhu. Alright enough, messing around. I need you back into your uncle's headquarters. He's asking for you. We need to discuss something in person, and it's imperative, so please go here right now." Before he can even ask Dr. Zen why his uncle called him, Dr. Zen cut him off, "Don't ask why. Just do as your told. Remember, this is extremely important. Be careful and discreet. You need to be here as in now, okay? Your uncle said he doesn't like to be kept waiting and that you should always remember you have a duty and responsibility in the family."

Dr. Zen then said, "Hurry, okay? Be careful, kiddo" then the phone call ended right there. He sat up and rubbed his eyes, and ruffled his hair frustratingly. What does my uncle want from me that he's asking me to come to the headquarters. He thought to himself. He deeply sighs. I don't even want to go, I'm tired, but I guess I have no choice. Knowing Dr. Zen, he wouldn't go this far to fool someone, but if he does, I'll beat the life out of him. He better not be messing around as he just messed with my precious alone time. I hate it when people just for their benefit, tsk. They're annoying. With one last sigh, he stood up and changed clothes to meet his uncle.

Remembering what Dr. Zen said to him, he took some stuff to make sure he could protect himself then proceeded to the garage. There were many different cars in the garage. He chose the matte black Ferrari, bulletproof, and then drove away to his uncle's headquarters.

After 2 hours and a half he finally arrived at the headquarters, he looked at the entrance after parking his car. How nostalgic how many years has it been since I was here? He thought to himself, then he stepped out of his vehicle and proceeded to the entrance. When he got there, two guards stopped him.

"I'm sorry, sir, but only employees are allowed in here," the first guard said firmly. He sighs, and his voice sounded cold and filled with authority. He said, "I don't have time for this right now. I'm most certainly not an employee, but you have no right to forbid me from entering this very building."

"I'm sorry, sir, but we don't know who you even are, so please back off. If you don't want to get hurt," The second guard said firmly towards him with a slight glare. These guys are serious. They're pretty unfortunate I'm not in a good mood. He thought to himself then the next second, and everyone was surprised to see both guards on the floor writhing in pain. How did that happen? No one can believe what they saw. They saw the young man being stopped at the entrance, but both guards were suddenly down in a blink of an eye.

"Hmph, I warned both of you I have no time for this," He coldly stated as he fixed his black suit and glared at the two. The guards stood up and were ready to launch towards him as revenge when suddenly someone shouted, "That's enough!" Everyone looked at the source of the voice, and to their surprise, it was Dr. Zen

"Dr. Zen, this guy forced his way inside the building. We're very sorry we'll force him out now," The guards said and tried touching him, but this time, he grabbed their hands and held them firmly. The guards shouted as they felt the pain because of his strength. "Let them go already, and they didn't know you were coming," Dr. Zen said calmly and carefully as he knew his boss's niece is not someone anyone could trifle with

"Hmph, learn your places, cross my path again, and I'll gladly make you disappear," He coldly stated and went to Dr. Zen's side. "I'm sorry about this incident," Dr. Zen said calmly as he noticed his boss's niece started walking away. "Dr. Zen, who is that guy? How can he waltz in here?" An employee asked curiously

"He is the boss's niece," Dr. Zen said while looking at Midnight's figure fading away towards the shadow. "He's Midnight Hidalgo," said Dr. Zithea, who appeared out of nowhere.
