Grudge

Standing in the corridor with Samuel, Ashlyn had her head lowered. Samuel placed his hand on her shoulder, and with concern lacing his voice, he asked, "Are you alright?"

"I am fine. Getting into an argument with him is nothing new. You didn't need to rescue me," she bitterly stated.

"How can I not have my friend's back, especially after how you were about to cry back then?"

This made her glare at him.

"I don't cry," she sternly said.

"Right. I apologize. I misunderstood. So, what happened between both of you? What has you so agitated?"

Ashlyn was so lost about the situation, and the only one she could confide to at this moment was Samuel. Although she found it hard to rely on others, at this moment, she wasn't able to hold herself back. Also, Samuel always understood her well and gave her pretty good advices at times despite being annoying.

"He says he loves me and is acting all nice. What makes him think that everything will be fine between us again?" Ashlyn stated.
