"Meera!" I hear Laila calling me from behind. I wipe my tears and turn around with a grim face.
"Hey. Are you okay?" She comes near me and wraps her arms around me in a hug. I hug back.
"I'm so sorry from my mother's side. You know how she is. Please don't take her words seriously. She doesn't stay in a good mood nowadays. It's a daily drama I face." She rubs my back while her breath fans my hair strands.
"It's ok,Lai. I don't mind her words. And I don't think harsh words affect me anymore. It's a habit inaugurated by my mother." I press my lips tear, trying to suppress my tears from flowing down.
