Music blasted through the earphones in my ear while my eyes trained on the passing buildings and the engrossed pedestrians. Morning mist covered the bright rays of the sun yet some rebel rays hurried through to thumb against the clear window before me, illuminating my vista outside. Monday’s the day; the day when people drag themselves off the beds to go to work and their reluctance was very much visible on everyone’s faces on the bus as they either looked out or down on their phones.
Kyle and I, both however were excited. Me? Maybe not outside but inside, Kyle’s eagerly running his eyes through the people though he looked calm, bouncing his leg beside mine. Before we stepped out of the Dino Café, we’d to listen to a whole 30-minute lecture from Ms. Morgan starting with how to go to school and what to do first from not to get into any trouble plus a silent warning from Ivan to stay away from vampires.
Yeah, we’re going into a supernatural school so mythical and some
Late update but a grand one ;) Yes, it's a cliffhanger but hang in there. Enjoy your reading time, guys!
See, It's not my fault that I'm a half-blood. I too 'had' a normal life just like you until a series of action thriller mega-fantasy stuff started to happen in my life out of nowhere. Trust me, being normal is better than all this. Being a half-blood for real is pretty...I don't need to say that, because my brother has actually told all about it, so no. Let me warn you too. If you are reading this to become a half-blood, please don't do this, you are going to be in great danger, it's better if you go to the kitchen, take a knife and stab yourself. But if you are a person who doesn't believe in a fantasy world saying fantasy is for kids and none of this is ever going to happen in your life, of course, read on...I want to know how you are going to survive because I was one of you...So go on, It's pretty fun to watch a troublesome kid doing stuff! THE wind was blowing on
A week has passed since I got here on this island. As I really liked to read adventure fiction books, I know how to survive on an island alone, thank those books! By now I'm used to this unusual place. I know all the places now, I even found a cave in which I'm living right now. It's a cave just near to the beach and it's pretty much great I found this because it's burning down during the day and freezing at night.I decorate the cave with leaves and stuff, prepare weaved palm leaf mats for me to lie down and it's fun. THERE IS NOTHING ELSE TO DO IN THIS STUPID ISLAND!!! It's sometimes very boring so, I play with the waves, wander around the trees, take a swim in the lake or just run screaming from one side of the island to the other. Before dusk, I gather woods for lighting a fire, it's overly cold. Aah, the lighting of a fire, I really should say that. It's what I read in a book in whi
I'm really shocked to see him. But he is here anyway! I rested his head on my lap, lifting him up by his shoulders. There were some bruises and scratches on his handsome face and hands, thank goodness he's breathing. I called his name a few times and shook him by his shoulders as gently as possible in case anything is broken. His eyes squirmed in his socket and slowly opened it, adjusting to the light. His focus rested on me for a while, then he shoots forward getting up. He panted a little heavily and looked over to the sea before him."Where am I?" he almost whispered."You are on an island," I said without any emotion. He'll take it."How did I get here?" he asked in the same position."Um, the waves washed you ashore" I replied ev
Karthik and I never talked much because we are from completely different departments of our school; he was a bully and I was a nerd. He was the scariest person on the whole campus when angry and everyone knew that. Everyone respected him because they were scared. The girls always drooled over him, honoring him as the hottest and meanest boy at school. It was very scary because his little gang's first target will be of course the nerds. Be it a boy or girl they always targeted them asking for money, completing their notes, for entertainment, and other accompanied junk known as ragging. Karthik never took part in any of these, he'd just stand there quietly watching what his friends were doing.; neither encouraging nor discouraging."Ananya, how do you know me?" asked Karthik pulling me out of my thoughts.Yeah, we are still on the island,
A month went by with Karthik and me on the island. We desperately tried to get out of this island but no use. We had seen signs of ships once or twice and tried to call out to them by almost burning the whole island down with fire for the smoke to catch their eye but was in vain. Karthik will always look out to the sea and stand there drowned in his thoughts. There were times I got him crying silently but I never bothered to ask him why because I already knew. Though I'm not a cry baby or an emotional person I could understand his thoughts and feelings. There was no way for me to cheer him because I'm not a comforter. So I just let him be...Some alone time will fix things too.I almost lost my hope getting out of here and was starting to get used to here when the unexpected happened. My calculation went wrong with the volcano right in the middle of the island. The terrible thing I dreade
I was doing my math homework with headphones on, oblivious to the outside world. I knew that my sisters were playing in the room beside me, their laughter could be heard, and my mother was watching TV. Just a typical Sunday for me and my family.Suddenly, I got this bad feeling growing inside my stomach which caused me to take off the blasting music and lay it at the table along with my pen. I sighed looking at the time, 5:00 PM. The high volume of the television could be heard from the living room but the ringtone of my mom's phone caused it to be muted. After a moment of chatting and a loud gasp, the next sound heard was of a reporter talking abruptly; news channel. My mom never sees the news channel and I was kind of curious as I got off my chair and walked to the living room.As I've thought my mom was watching the news channel and
"Will she be alright?""Of course, she should be""But why isn't she waking up?""Don't ask silly questions, Chase!"Almost a minute after, a sudden beam of light rushed into my fuzzy mind causing me to stir awake. My brain however was in no mood to wake up judging by how it throbbed and squeezed itself inside my skill. A low groan escaped my lips when my heart pumped blood hard and fast, lowkey hurting every nerve and sinew of my body.I opened my eyes slowly. There were two figures in front of me but it was all in a blur. However, I could say they were gaping at me. The outlines of the unknown faces resembling someone I know very well."She is up," I heard a female voice. My vision became clear after a couple of seconds and here I was in a sturdy white square-shaped room. There were only one window and the sunlight was zooming into the room through its clear glass pane. At one side of the room, many types of machines and pieces of e
When I woke up the next day, Karthik wasn't in his bed. I went inside the shared bathroom at the corner of the room and was surprised to see that there were in fact things for me to use alongside his. I brushed my teeth, freshened up, and wore what was hung in my almost empty closet; a t-shirt and jeans. Afterward, I walked towards the cafe. I hadn't familiarized myself with the place but I reached my destination somehow with the limited knowledge from watching the show.It was almost empty except for Ivan who was frying a sausage judging by the sizzling sounds emitted by the pan. I walked up to the kitchen with a small smile."Good morning, Ivan" I chirped."And to you, m'lady" Ivan bowed a little with a wide smile after noticing me."Can you tell me where are the others?" I asked leaning against the counter to peer at the cooking sausages and an omelet on another."Not up yet, I think," he shrugged while cracking an egg and pouring it into the no
