“Anyone wanna go grocery shopping with me?” announced Chase standing right in the middle of the café with a long list in his hand raised up in the air.
Everyone raised their heads from their jobs, glanced at him for a moment then went back to their own business. I watched as he sighed heavily and mumbled something under his breath along the line ‘as usual…no one interested…go alone’. I finished arranging the chair and went to him.
“Can I join?” I asked a little uncertain.
“Oh yeah? Really?” he exclaimed to which I nodded, “No one likes to go grocery shopping with me. I wonder why though,” he taped on his chin, “Let’s go then!”
