Chapter 20. Mommy Sleeps Like a Horse

“Mommy, she’s just an employee here. It’s best if you draw a clear line. Don’t give her too much heart.” Cade passed through the living room while loosening his tie. He didn’t glance at Fay at all.

“I don’t know what you mean by clear boundaries, Mr. Goldwin Junior. All I know is my grandkids call her mommy. That means she should call me mom.” Laura got up from her seat and chased after Cade who was already moving towards his room.

Fay’s sleepiness was suddenly gone. As soon as Cade walked in, she had hurriedly gotten up from her seat on the couch. The man clearly didn’t like her. Now her mother added another reason for Cade to hate Fay even more.

Actually, Fay didn’t care about the man’s feelings for her either. In fact, she hated Cade too. It was the circumstances that had forced them to live under the same roof and couldn’t avoid each other.
