Chapter 46. Escape

“I’ve been ready to leave since I got here,” Callie said irritably.

“Well then, what about the guard outside? Maybe we can attack him at the same time when the door opens, then go towards the back.

Callie seemed uninterested in Fay’s plan. “I can take him out alone. The problem is I can’t do that from here. You think we’re ghosts that can go through walls?”

Fay just chuckled at Callie’s blunt words.

“You’re too serious, Callie. Of course, the door has to be opened first.” Out of nowhere, Fay was already brandishing a short little wire in the air. “You get ready.”

Callie was dumbfounded by Fay’s confident demeanor. Would her friend be able to open the lock with just that small wire? Since when did Fay have the skills of a village thief?

But Fay didn’t care about Callie’s incredulous look. She leaned back towards the keyhole, fiddling there for a while. In less than a minute there was a soft ‘click’. Fay smiled with satisfaction and turned to Callie.

“Open?” Callie looked incredulous.
