Early the next morning, both Dane and Mona were seen standing outside the same hotel room where they saw Kyra enter the previous night.

Not just Dane and Mona, they even brought a few of the pack warriors to show Kyra's shamelessness. A Luna cheating an Alpha is a punishable offense. The Luna can be rejected by the Alpha and can be thrown into the dungeons. Dane is hoping for the same.

"Kyra, open the door" Mona banged on the door.

Dane looked like a husband who was trying to stay positive.

"Mona, Kyra must have been tired last night. That's why she must have rested here. Don't bang the door so hard. It would startle her" Dane pretended to be an understanding Alpha.

The warriors behind him looked skeptical.

"Dane, you are being too kind. No matter what happened, yesterday was the full moon. And Kyra was mated to you. Everyone knows that a female she wolf would go into heat after her 21st birthday at every full moon until she is marked. You didn't mark Kyra because she was too young. You arranged such a huge party to celebrate her birthday, and you planned to mark her last night. But how can she just sleep anywhere when she was in heat? Don't you know how the pheromones of a female wolf hits the male wolf's when they were in heat, especially when the she wolf is untouched? Staying outside the pack all alone is practically asking for trouble" Mona instigated the warriors behind them. These warriors would defame Kyra in front of the entire pack, making it easier for Dane to reject her as his mate and the pack Luna. Simultaneously, he would choose Mona as his mate and Luna. Because a pack is unstable without a Luna. Everyone would sympathize with Dane.

The warriors behind her nodded in approval, siding with Mona and already thinking that their Luna is wrong.

"Yes, Beta Mona is right. Luna Kyra should be like a role model to the young she wolf's. This behavior is unacceptable" one of the warriors echoed.

"Yes, this should not go unpunished, no matter if she is our Luna. This behavior is unacceptable" another one chimed in.

"We should follow the pack rules. Staying out of the pack during heat is an offense which is punishable with 50 lashes. And if the she wolf lost control and slept with another man, then her husband or family can reject her" another warrior reminded.

Everyone agreed. Dane and Mona looked at each other feeling smug.

"Kyra, open the door" Mona banged again.

But instead of Kyra, one of the hotel staff arrived.

"What are you all doing here? We received a complaint from the guests that you are disturbing them" the hotel staff announced with displeasure.

Mona stepped forward.

"We heard that my best friend was in this room last night. We just came to take her back" Mona explained.

The hotel staff shook his head.

"This room was unoccupied last night. No one stayed here. Looks like you got the wrong room number" he replied sternly.

Dane and Mona looked confused. Immediately, Dane pulled out one of Kyra's pictures and showed it to the staff.

"Have you seen this woman? We celebrated her birthday last night in this same hotel" he inquired.

The staff glanced at the picture before looking at Dane.

"I remember this lady. She looked weak last night. So we helped her into a cab and sent her home. You should check at her house first" the staff replied before leaving.

Both Dane and Mona looked stunned. The warriors looked confused too.

"Alpha, perhaps you are mistaken? Are you sure Luna didn't come back home last night?" one of the warriors inquired.

Dane frowned deeply. He was sure that he saw Kyra entering this room. But he couldn't let that slip in front of the warriors. So he pretended to dial the number of the pack house. One of the Omegas answered the call.

"Did your Luna come back home last night?" he inquired.

"Yes Alpha, Luna Kyra just had her breakfast" the omega replied.

Dane was stunned. With their heightened senses, everyone heard that too. An awkward silence descended upon them. How can an Alpha do something like this? It's laughable and absurd.

After they left, the staff member who helped them with Kyra dialed a number.

"Alpha, it's done" the staff member shared.

"Good" the deep magnetic voice that commanded authority rumbled from the other side before the line went dead.

In the Silverstone pack house, Kyra looked lost. The betrayal of the man whom she adored and loved more than herself felt like a dagger which is constantly piercing her heart. The mark on her neck which is impossible to ignore felt like it's mocking her.

"Years of loyalty and devotion, is this what I get for that?" she thought feeling bitter.

Despite her affection for the undeserving man, she is not a fool. She knows she has to leave Dane. But that's not going to be easy. He is now the Alpha of the Silverstone pack, and the mate she married in front of everyone. Silverstone pack respects Dane and looks at him with high regard. Only the Thorn family, that is Kyra's family were the Alpha's of the Silverstone pack. Dane became the Alpha with Kyra's approval. His hard work and his strength to lead the pack won over the pack members. Now even if Kyra told everyone that Dane is cheating on her, no one would believe her. What's more, she might even lose the pack which her father left for her.

"No, I need to find a way to let everyone in the pack see what kind of person Dane is. Only then can I get this pack back" she decided.
