Chapter Twelve

Daisy’s POV

“What?” My lips quivered as I stared at the seer. I didn’t want to believe that her revelation was true, that I was going to suffer another failed relationship.

“That’s impossible!” Landon growled beside me, inching closer to the seer. “Re-do it again. I don’t believe that’s right.” I was a bit relieved that Landon also didn’t agree with the revelation. After all, he invited her to the palace. If there was anyone who had the rights to disagree with her, it was him.

The seer cackled, her tongue running over her blackened teeth. Her eyes sparkled with mischief but I couldn’t tell if it was just the natural characteristic of witches to be crafty or she had something up her sleeves.

“The moon goddess doesn’t make mistakes.” She eyed me wearily. “Your mate should be more concerned than you, Prince. She is the key to everything.”
