Chapter Twenty

DAISY

I swallowed the lump in my throat as I tried to put on a brave face. There was no way I would let them know the truth. I could feel the eyes of almost everyone in the close radius, waiting for me to speak, so they could pounce on me.

"What makes you think that I’m that woman?" I scoffed.

The lady stepped closer to me. "Well, there are a lot of things that proves that you’re the rejected omega. You’re visibly shaking, and you’re almost in tears. If that is not enough, you’re a werewolf and so much smaller than the Lycans. You match the description the queen had said. I believe that you’re that omega. It was Daisy, right?" She asked the princess easily.

I clamped my hands together at once as I gave a slightly breathy laugh. "What are you saying?" I mocked.

The two women gave me a look. I rolled my eyes in a bid to act as though they were all blabbing at this point. "I’m not that woman, please. I really think that you’re trying to insult me."

"But..."

I held my hands up, stopping t
