I blinked, wincing and shutting my eyes again as the intrusive white light flooded through my vision. Bracing myself, I opened my eyes again, shifting them into focus, I realized I was still at the infirmary.

I wiggled my body a bit glad to know that the pain has lessened immensely. It was a bit relieving to know that the little regenerative abilities I had as a werewolf were kicking in. Although slower than that of Lycans, they very much helped, and I was thankful.

The sun was setting, I was relishing how beautiful it was when Nevan walked in. She beamed when she saw me awake.

“I hope you rested well. You seemed like you really needed it,” Her eyes sparkled with delight.

I smiled, a genuine one this time. “Yes I did actually, I feel myself getting better already.” I sat up, realizing that Lady Vieva wasn't around. “Where's Lady Vieva?”

“Oh, she went to the Head Women's weekly conference, it was urgent. Are you hungry? If you are, I could go out and get some food on the way. I
