Chapter 2- Who is helmet girl?

Vivienne

“Run!” I heard the guy hissed at me while we were running together.

I looked back and saw a group of guys running towards us. It seems I've got myself into trouble. What is happening? Why are those guys running after him?

I hurriedly took back my arm from the guy and ran the other way. I saw the group of students runs in his direction. I finally get away from them. Catching my breath, I leaned on the concrete wall of the building while hugging the helmet.

The helmet?

Oh, my!

Only then I realized that I am still holding the guy's helmet. Whoever he is, I don’t want to entangle my life with him. I already had a hard time dealing with my own problems.

The next day, I went to school, but things get worse.  They threw my stuff at the backside of the classroom. My chair and table were pushed to the side.

No one wants to talks to me, or they’ll be in trouble as well. The rest didn’t want to hang out with me anymore. Actually, they opt to bully me. And whenever I tried to fight, they make it harder for me to survive.

I know who had planned all this: Carrie and the rest of the girls in our group. Since I came back to school after my father’s death, they became so mean to me.

I decided to sit quietly on my chair as I waited for our teacher to come. I saw Carrie and Lyzie were smiling slyly at each other. I know they were planning something evil against me. I must brace myself. But the first subject was done, and nothing happened. I was about to stand up and went to the comfort room when I realized I couldn’t move from my chair.

“How was it being glued in your own seat, loser?” Carrie approached me, wearing that wicked smile on her stupid face.

The girls followed Carrie.

“You bitch!” I hissed at her.

Carrie's face turned grim. Then, she gave me a hard slap on my face—the hit stings. I could tell her palm made a mark on my face already.

“Go on and fight.” Carrie challenged me.

“If I were you, I'll behave, Vivienne. You can’t win over us. You were just a nobody.” Lyzie slyly said.

I hold my temper. I can't fight them. I have no match with them. For sure, my life will be a living hell if I tried to fight them.

“You’re so pathetic. Where is that queen Vivienne you’re calling before?” Carrie smirked when she noticed I didn’t dare to fight back.

“There’s no such name like that in the campus queens list.” Mindy mockingly said.

“Let’s go, girls! I don’t want to waste my time to a girl on the slumps.”

I have no choice but to rip my skirt that glued in the chair. Good thing I wear cotton shorts under my skirt. I ran towards the locker room to get changed. I could not forget how the students laughed at me.

I cried in one of the cubicles in the comfort room. I don’t know how long will I survived this kind of life I have in KHS.

I went home at lunch and didn’t dare to attend my afternoon class. I waited for Mom to come home. I know she has many things to figure out, a lot of problems to fix, but I had to laid mine as well.

“Mom—”

“Let’s talk, Vivienne.” Mom cuts me off.

“I want to transfer into a new school, Mom!” I yelled. I was talking so fast. I was afraid that my words would never be heard.

“You mean into a cheaper school?”

“Anywhere. I just wanted to leave KHS.”

“Fine.”

I was so glad to hear that! Maybe she knew how things are getting hard for me. It was not easy to adjust to our new life now. We are broke. We are really, really broke.

It’s been so hard for me, for Mom, and especially for my younger sister Vianna. How can we suddenly adapt to an impoverished life?

“But I won’t allow you to enter a cheap school. Good education is the only thing I can provide for you and Vianna.”

I felt relieved. Whenever Mom chooses as long as it wasn’t in KHS. I don’t want to see my ex-friends anymore.

Mom gets me a schedule on how to get a full scholarship at Brixton University. The University was in the heart of L City and away far from KHS. It's a good thing as long as I can escape my miserable life in KHS.

Raylie:

I was so bored. I decided not to attend my next class. After all, I can pay all the professors here to give me a good grade. I can even buy the graduation if I wanted to.

I yawned as I lay down the window sill of the library on the second floor. I love it here. I can see who’s coming. It wasn’t that long when I noticed a girl walking her way to the administration building.

“Whoa! I knew her!”

I suddenly stood up and took a better look at the girl.

“Yeah, right! She’s helmet girl!”

I suddenly laughed at myself as I clearly remember the scene. It’s been a week since that day I slide my motorbike because I avoided a girl running on the street.

“What helmet girl, you're saying?” It's Thore who approached me.

I would not be surprised if the twins will come and join me as well.

Well, that’s how our friendship goes. Where the one goes, the rest will follow.

“He must be daydreaming again.”

And I was right. There comes the twins, Loki and Logan.

“Yeah, it seems Raylie was bored again. What are we going to do here?”

“Oh my God! The Titans were there on the second floor of the library building.”

A female student suddenly yelled, waving at us on the second floor. The three waved back with a smile on their handsome faces.  They seemed to enjoy the flashes of cameras around us.

“Oh gosh! They’re so handsome!”

“The twins were fascinating!”

“Thore is the most handsome!”

“Raylie was the most gorgeous among all the Titans!

Titans. That’s how our group called. Maybe because we belong to the wealthiest and most influential families in L City. Actually, our families were the biggest sponsors of Brixton University.

I got bored and dismissed the students who were suddenly coming and taking our pictures with their smartphones.

“Come.  Let’s get out of here.” I said and went my way out of the building.

We rarely come to school. We can still get grades even we seldom attended our class. Well, money works.

“Where to?” Thore asked as they followed me.

“At the administration building.”
