Chapter 4- New school, new trouble

Vivienne

I've been walking for almost half an hour. I can’t see where my classroom is. It’s my first day at Brixton University, and I think I am lost. The University was so big. It’s four times bigger than KHS. They have college extensions, that is why. I've been asking some students about my classroom, but they keep giving me the wrong way.

I suddenly felt something wet down. My eyes grow wide.

Oh, my! Is it the day?

I checked the date and remembered when did the last time I have my period.

“Oh my God! It must be today!”

I am starting to feel stomach cramps. This must be it. I run towards a building, holding my stomach that was hurting. I might find a comfort room there. But I didn’t saw someone was coming my way. I was too focused on my goal of finding a washroom.

I bumped into something hard.

No!

It’s a man. And his phone was thrown on the pavement.

“What the heck!?”

My eyes grew bigger when I found out it is the latest model of an iPhone.

“I-I am sorry.” I stuttered.

I took the chance to run when the handsome guy bends over to pick up his phone. Yes, he was handsome—no doubt about that.

“Hey, you girl! Come back here! Damn it! You broke my phone!” The guy angrily shouted at me.

“I’ll come back to you later! I just need a washroom right now!” I yelled without looking back.

I keep running. I know the phone was too expensive. I don’t mean to broke it, but I need to go to the washroom.

I went to a building I first landed on and found the washroom. I immediately went inside and check for myself. I have red spots already. But to my dismay, I don’t have a sanitary napkin.

Oh my God! What am I going to do? The cubicle had run out of tissue as well.

I heard someone went inside. I don’t have a choice but to ask her.

“Excuse me?” I tried to catch her attention while I am at the cubicle.

“Yes? What is a girl doing in a male's comfort room?” A guy's voice echoed inside the comfort room.

“Oh my God! I am at the male's comfort room?” I started to panic.

“Fool. Don’t you know how to read? The sign said it’s for male.” The guy said.

I firmly closed my eyes. What am I thinking, entering the male's comfort room?

“I was in a rush a while ago. And the thing is, I run out of tissue and sanitary pad. Would you mind getting me some from the vending machine outside?”

I know it’s embarrassing. And knowing it’s a guy, I am sure he will decline me. But I still need to gamble the chance. I heard footsteps walked away

 Did he just leave?

Oh my goodness! What am I going to do now? My cramps were starting to worsen.

The door opened again and to my shock, a sanitary pad and a pack of tissue suddenly thrown inside my cubicle.

“Oh, my God! Thank you so much!”

I was so glad the guy I asked a while ago didn’t decline my request. I quickly changed and washed my hand at the lavatory. I went out to the comfort room to say thank you, but there’s no one outside the comfort room. How am I going to find him and thanked him?

I started to walk again. I heard the bell rang. It means the classes will begin very soon. I went to the administration office to ask for directions. I gave up finding my classroom on my own. But my stomach cramps keep worsening.

I stopped walking and sat on one of the concrete benches scattered at the corridor’s side. I've been holding my lower abdomen and pushing it hard.

“Whoa! I thought Raylie was the only student who dared to cut class. It seems a girl was courageous enough to annoy a professor here at Brixtons.” I heard someone said.

Upon hearing about that, I hurriedly stood up and started to run without glancing at that student. But upon running, I bumped into something again. I quickly got out of balance. Maybe because I don’t feel well. A strong arm suddenly grabbed me, preventing me from falling.

I gasped upon seeing his face. His handsome face. He was the same guy I bumped in this morning. Did he look for me?

“Oh! A-About the phone, did it break? How much would it cost to fix it?”

The handsome guy frowned. I felt the cramps again. I winced as I grasped my lower belly.

“Are you okay? You look pale? Are you looking for the clinic?” Came the worried voice.

“I was looking for the classroom 11-A of high school extension.” I honestly said.

I hope he didn’t give me the wrong way this time.

“Whoa! We’re in the same class. Come, follow me.”

Holding my stomach, I followed him. Why didn’t he talked about the damage to his phone? Maybe it wasn’t broken.  He should be angry if I really broke it.

After a few minutes of walking, I was surprised to know we went to the school infirmary.

“It’s not the classroom.” I turned to him, confused.

“Yes, but I think you are feeling unwell. You must go here and not in the classroom.”

I’ve got panic. “But it’s my first day here! If I didn’t attend the class, it would reflect on my performance, and my scholarship will be lost.”

I winced as I felt my cramps keep worsening.

“Nah! Stop blubbering and get treated.” The guy pulled me by the arm and took the nurse’s attention. “Excuse me?”

“I need to go,” I whispered at the guy.

“Oh! Mr. Young. What can I do for you?” The nurse politely asked.

“You have a patient here.” And he pointed at me.

The nurse attended to me. I told her what’s wrong, and she suddenly gives me a hot compress. The guy was on his phone. I don’t know why he was still here. The class started already, why did he stay here? Is he one of those students who skipped classes?

“Is this your new hang-out place, Logan?”

“I am on my way to the class. Why did you keep dragging me with you, guys?”

I was dumbfounded when I saw two handsome students went inside the infirmary without even knocking. And one of them looks a lot like this guy who brought me here!
